RedStone
HAPPY ZERO WEEK!!!! SO who's ready to rumble?? Happy New Year Warriors! I spent the last challenge over with the Druids doing druidy things, tho I admit that whenever I looked for the link I read it as droid... ANYHOO it was a solid month of getting my head on straight, and I'm feeling very good about the outcome. Training is in full force, and for Warrior purposes, well, my weeks as a whole very much resemble the Rebel we all know I secretly am, but here is where my family is, and here is where I shall lay my head. I'm lifting 2 - 3 times a week, (sometimes 4 when I have the energy stores), running maybe once or twice, a few shorter sessions of HIIT including BW, KB and boxing stuff, and I visit a Parkour gym on Fridays for obstacle course night. (Hot lava!!) Oh,and when it works for my schedule I get in for an hour of yoga here and there, that's been about once a week lately. The biggest problem I'm having currently, is that I've been cutting, but I fear that I'm underestimating my maintenance. I'm up almost 15# from this time last year, and a lot of it is the good kind of up... but I've been cutting at the same cals from last year With all the training I'm doing, well, it's catching up and the last week or two I'm noticing that I'm not recovering well. It also doesn't help that the resolutioners are out in full force and that's been an understandable strain on me physically as well. So let's talk Zero Week. I have a few tasks this week I want to accomplish, in order to prepare me for the main show, more on all of which will come later. Obvs INBODY - get on the bio impedance tomorrow morning, get new data. look at the suggested TDEE. Use this as a jumping off point to reevaluate cal needs. MIND/BODY - Clean up the primary workout space at home and hang canvas on the wall. BRING IN THE HEATER. BUJO - Transfer "Moon Power" chart to the new bujo and start using it. JOURNAL - Try Mr Red's bluetooth keyboard with the tablet and see how it works for me. - Order bluetooth keyboard and cover for tablet RECOVER - do 3 restorative forms every day (SLT). LIFE - Buy Simo a birthday gift!!!!!!! Book hotel for her party this weekend. WORK ADDITION - Write up class for Monday morning. Must be WRITTEN OUT ON A DAMN PIECE OF PAPER So let's get on this B. Rock and/or Roll. Goals! 11 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment

Use this as a jumping off point to reevaluate cal needs. I never did trust this as a method for determining body composition, based on things that change the impedance that are not related to lean body mass and I have trouble gathering enough data. What I have learned so far: Your biometric impedance is going to drop during the day as you consume food. So the most consistent measurement is going to be in the morning. Meanwhile at the gym, you have people lining up in the evening to get this measurement taken. For maximum effect, hit all you can eat Chinese or Pizza a couple of hours before getting measured. I do not know how this affects biometric impedance the next day. I think extra weight carried over the next day gets counted as lean mass, if not as water. Here: https://weightology.net/cheat-your-body-fat-test/ LOL Yes, we've had this conversation many times! I'm with you. The margin of error is quite fair, but I won't be putting too much stock into the margins. I mostly just want a solid reminder that 1200 cals just isn't enough for me. And it has been a good while since I last did it so it's always fun to see progress. Although.... tomorrow is the day I get paid to eat pizza. I could do it right after that _____ So far as Zero Week goes, Monday is hapenning! Training today was leg day and instead of extra HIIT during my second free hour I ate the foods. A fair bit of the foods I think! I feel well for the most part, except for my shoulders are till feeling Saturday's workout. (I'm not... uncomfortable necessarily, it feels like typical DOMS, but I'm keeping an eye on it all because it doesn't usually take me this long to recover Maybe it's just cause I'm older? Or cause I've been cutting?) I did the squats and the split squats and the plie squats and the bulgarian split squats and the stiff leg deads... wow that's a lot of squats! And a bunch of plate standups and hanging crunches and junk. It was kinda on the lower energy side but solid. I did take Mr Red's keyboard to work with the tablet and it seemed like a good fit. I didn't like the actual keyboard itself, but the tablet worked, so I'm going to see about getting a cover and different keyboard to use for this routine. Also got my forms in just now, but only because I said earlier that I had to. HUZZAH!!! @Grumble oh how the system works. It did feel good and was a very slight commitment for good return. Tomorrow is one of my brutal days and I don't expect much to come out of it challenge wise, other than the scale thing (sorry not sorry panda!) but Wednesday should be solid for errands and studio and bujoing and stuff. (So far as the bujo goes... I'm super tempted to enlist @Taddea Zhaan and her crazy excel skills to maybe barter with me on helping me set up a tracker...) But until then! 9 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment

But 9am on a Monday requires having something written down! It's going on the list. (Although I could do most of it on the road down to D.C. over the weekend... hmmmm.... good to have a back up plan!) Anyhoo.
