Honestly, January was not very nice to me. But I'm back on track now, and hoping to make some moves including a new job that's closer to home!

Hey guys, wishing you luck on finding a new job @Plazmotic.

 

I have been more inspired this year so far than I have in years past. Personally things have been fair, professionally I think I need to do some soul searching, but nothing is out of my control so I am grateful for that.

Welcome, @Plazmotic and @SS3TaoMan.

Heidi pours a bit of milk into some chai thing that she's found. It's warming and a comfort.

I hope you all have a better February -- I know that January left marks on lots of folks. 
What do you find are your biggest hurdles, not necessarily in terms of size, but in that when you bump into them, they have a big impact on your momentum (workout clothes not being clean, lunch not being packed, etc.)?

For me, if I break my streak for any reason it’s very hard to get back into the routine. My body and mind follow the laws “an object at rest stays at rest, an object in motion stays in motion”. :P

 

Reasons why I’d break my streak are numerous: laziness, busyness, external forces diverting my attention, illness, needing a few days to curl up on the couch and feel sad, etc.

Ugh, I hear you on this one!! This is hard for me, too.

And it doesn't seem to matter how long I have been in the groove, one little hiccup and the next thing you know it's like I have never done ThatThing-Whaddareyoutalkingabout.

Awareness is the only thing that seems to work for me on this. :)

For me, it is my work, they can be demanding and ask me to work very late sometimes which doesn't allow me to get things done in my personal life like help my wife around the house or even spend time with her.  This can throw us off kilter and if we start getting behind on things it can snowball.

Yes, haha this law applies to me as well, I understand.

January stinks weather and health wise, wishing you the best for the rest of the year.  Planning a wedding can be fun and stressful (I got married last year) but the big day is totally worth it :fat: Congrats!!!

I got married May 2015 and wedding planning was both amazingly fun and terribly stressful. I remember doing a lot of web searching and idea gathering at work to distract me from the drudgery that was my job, and it was so exciting! But I also remember how much I fought with my parents, so much that it permanently altered my relationship with them.

Hello everyone,

I'd been away for a long time, not even sure exactly how long. Was missing this whole thing, especially lately.

 

The first month of the year, I must say, was not very organized but I feel I'm in a good spot to build on :distrust:  feeling great, and the things that matter to me are slowly falling into place. The mind has been going through interesting changes and aha moments, hehehe.

 

What does this year hold for me...hmm..

An entirely new experience, for once. A different reality. A shared reality, for that matter. And the challenge of finding a path; a direction, more like; and to make it immediately actionable.

 

No more stalling, no more drifting.

The universe has been yelling at me to get it together and be truly independent/responsible or we'll see how the lesson takes shape, so I'm listening, and willing to put in the work.

 

Have a nice journey, guys.

And that's the question I'm having trouble with. I'm not sure what I want to do right now, so I think the plan is to try stuff till I figure that out.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday! Today’s highlight so far for me… I had to wake up hella early this morning and as I headed out at the crack of dawn, I could see the thinnest line of crescent moon low on the horizon, so pretty!

Hello All,

 

I know the February challenge ended yesterday, so it's time to start thinking about March. I made a resolution to myself that I would spend this break thinking about my true goals for my life. Health goals allow me to accomplish all other things, so my health must be a priority through this stressful time in my life. I have been sick almost all year so far - the flu, colds, sinus infections, and I'm just now feeling better with the help of antibiotics. That's gotta be a wake-up call. I need to center my life around recovery. So that's the theme for the March challenge: Recovery.

I'll do my best to gather my thoughts before the challenge starts. We launch our challenge progress starting next week, right?
