I am going to get my sleep routines back. I have done it before, and it was good for me, but for some reason I stopped. 

 

Rule 1: Computer off at 21:30, lights at 22:00, get up at 5

 

Rule 2: Push-ups and stretching.

 

Rule 3: Clean every day.

I go to bed on time. And then I woke up between 3 and 4 in the morning. At least I am not so tired anymore.

 

Sunday morning rowing is becoming a habit, and is fun. We are becoming better at it, and the dogs also enjoy it.

 

I also dropped in at the municipal swimming pool to check on how much is cost. For this year it is almost too late, they close for the winter  at the end of March, but I am going to start swimming next summer. It is the only time my hips and ankles do not hurt.

 

Saturday night movie were Gigi. 

 

The weekend were spend cleaning the property. It is now reaching the point where I am not embarrassed by the place anymore.

 

And at home I am also cleaning, I am steadily going through my cupboards and checking all my clothes. 

 

I do some amount of exercise every day. Nothing to brag about, but it is better than nothing.

Maandag.

 

Computer off at 9:48, bed at 10:15, light off at 10:47. Awake at 4:30.  5:45 hours sleep. Not good.

 

I did my stretching and push-ups. 

 

Not much cleaning done.

 

My highlight of the day was rolling on the grass with the dogs. I am worried about Flappie. She is very unsocial and withdrawn.

You are doing great Jakkals. You are getting so much done. Clearing and cleaning out. That is good. Glad you are enjoying the dam and kayaking as well.

Nope, she plays and run well enough. It just seems to be depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She never has been a social dog but the cuddliness has disappeared.  Or maybe it is just being a teenager.

Stretching and things done.

 

And I discovered clothes in my cupboard I thought were long gone.

 

And I spend a delightful time brushing Vonk on the floor. He snarls a lot when I brush his tail but most of the time he just lays there in bliss.

I love dogs and their quirks.

Sounds like you are moving forward - great work!

 

I too have to go through all my stuff.  At least getting ready to move forces me to find and sort everything.

The stuff I am sorting is just my stuff. I went through a minimalist phase a few years back, so I do not have many needless things left. The rest of the house is the other's problem. Two of the three garages does not have space for cars, and I am not allowed to touch any of that. We have been in this house for 37 years. 

 

Computer off at 9:38, lights off at 10:13, and then I slept through to 5.

 

Stretching and push-ups done.

 

I am trying to remember if I did any cleaning.

 

I got a smile from my crush at the hardware store. I was so surprised I did not smile back. I really need to work on social interactions again.

Computer off at 9:40, lights at 10:13, awake at 3:45, up at 5:10

 

Stretching and push ups done.

 

Some cleaning done, including cutting my toenails. 

 

And after a few days of reading about politics, finally some closure.

 

I got an invitation to our school reunion in May. I really have a deadline now to lose some weight.

Computer off at 9"48, light at 10:20, awake at 2:15, finally got up at 6:30.

 

Stretching done.

 

I am trying to remember if I did any cleaning at home.

 

But I did cut the grass, took a load of sawdust to the dump, and cleaned out an old dustbin.

Saterdag

 

Saturday night movie were Star Wars: A new Hope. It is the first time I saw it since the remastered versions came out in 1997. There are many parts that I did not remember at all.

 

Computer off at 11:30, lights at 12:05, awake at 6:30.

 

No stretching 

 

I finished my cleaning at the other property. I have now done everything I could that does not cost money, removed all the rubbish cleaned the garden. Now I have to start doing things that will bring in money.

Sunday

 

I have to stop sleeping on Sunday afternoons, it messes up my sleep schedule.

 

Computer off at 10:50, lights off at 11, awake at 5.

 

No stretching, but we went rowing.

 

And I cleaned my computer keyboard and screen. I can see all the letters now.

 

There were Chinese new year celebrations at the temple. I walked there and saw the opening. There were also cultural demonstrations, and lots of people. I saw a lot of chinese foods I have only read about, but I did not have any money. It was fun ogling all the pretty girls. My ankle however hurts badly, the walking were not good for it.

Inside the temple. Normally shoes have to be removed, but they said that due to the crowd size people do not have to do it.

Computer off at 9:30, lights at 10:10, awake at 4:45, up at 5.

 

Some cleaning done, my computer table top is visible.

 

Push-ups and stretching done. I have started to add some negative pull-ups.

 

And while walking the dogs this morning in the rain this little thing were sitting all alone in the middle of nowhere. He/she is about 4 weeks old, too young to really walk on his own. Either his mother abandoned him there or someone dumped him. It is not funny.

I would really like to see snow one day. Our winters are dry and dusty, snow is much prettier.

 

Dinsdag.

 

The kitten walks a lot. He has been everywhere in the house, and then go and sleep in strange places. The dogs is over the worst of their jealousy, but then get all upset every time I pick it up.

 

Computer off at 9:40, lights at 10:30, awake at 4:45, and dozed until 5:50. I forgot to set my alarm clock. Between the computer and the light were quite a time playing with the kitten.

 

Push-ups and stretching done.

 

Just enough cleaning to say I have done it, nothing to be proud about.

Woensdag

 

The kitten slept on my lap today. He walks all around the house on his own. Sometimes he even manages a quick run. I have forgotten how very small they are at that age. The dogs are fine with him, the other cat is getting better.

 

Computer off at 9:40, lights at 10:30, and I slept through until 5.

 

Stretching and push-ups done.

 

No cleaning.  I forgot.

I'm trying to get up at 5 also, but it's been slow going getting used to it.  You seem to be doing a lot better than me.

 

Cute kitten!  Thanks for taking him in.  Also, thanks for posting pictures of the New Years celebration.  That looks like a cool temple to have close by.

Snow is great - beats freezing rain everyday!  I can manage the cold much better than the heat.  There is a very real limit to how little I can wear in public to beat the heat, but almost no limit to how much I can layer clothes to deal with cold.

 

I'm generally on the 5 a.m. wakeup pattern as well.  Not perfectly, but the dog and I are usually walking well before 6 a.m.  I find an alarm clock with a built in light really helps.  It wasn't cheap, but slowly illuminating the room seems to help get me moving in the winter months!

I think the only thing that makes me survive our winters is the dryness. And we always have sun in winter.

Unproductive day at work. But even so I had a few moments during the afternoon where my mind were clear and happy. It is a rare feeling.

 

Computer off at 9:32, lights at 10:45. I had to do some admin for work. Awake at 5 and then there were a time-warp and the clock said 5:30.

 

Stretching and push-ups done.

 

Some cleaning done.

It was a drizzly day, I filled up a ditch, and cut the grass a the workshop. And my hip is bad again.

 

Computer off at 9:45, lights at 10:22, awake at 3:30 and again at 5, up at 5:28

I forgot about the cleaning, but I did sweep the front porch.

Saterdag.

 

 Halfway through the morning my hip started going funny on me and by lunchtime I could barely walk. It got better.

 

And I forged this morning. The coal forge is not really suitable for what I am trying to do. I really have to get my gas forge back to working condition. I have to make new burners, I do not have money to buy proper ones. 

 

Saturday night movie were The Empire Strikes back.

 

Computer off at 22:10, lights at 22:43, and I slept through till 5:45.

 

Push-ups and stretching done.

 

Forgot about the cleaning thing.

Sondag

 

We took the kayak to the river today, there is about 400m of clear water, and it is much more of a workout than the pond. The dogs also enjoyed the outing.

 

Sunday afternoon nap were rudely interrupted by the dogs.

 

Computer off at 9:45, lights at 10:25, awake at 4, up at 5:10.

 

Push-ups done, no stretching.

 

Forgot about the cleaning again.

The old cat slept on my bed for the first time ever. The dogs were not impressed.

 

Computer off at 9:30, bed at 9:45 and then the idiot read until 10:45. Awake at 5, up at 5:30.

What are you trying to do with the forge?  It certainly sounds interesting if you need that kind of heat!

 

Someday I'd love to have a workshop.  Assuming I stay single, my house is likely to just be a workshop with a bed in the back of it.
