haha really?! they came out around 1995! i'm 31 so that was 5th grade for me. 5th - 8th grade is middle school in my hometown, i know it's different everywhere!

lol I was somehow weirdly sheltered from good music until basically college. 1995 I was in 8th grade, 2.0 came out in 98, but I didn't HEAR it until 2001 lol

That is also where I was with it... I was determined not to also go over though so I literally figured out how many ounces of stout came to about 100 cals and poured that with a measuring cup but super worth it. (Seven, actually! More than I thought I would get!)

DOMSy, and no tragedies since Monday! I actually logged like 7 hours of actual work that counts (I am often perusing tickets looking for something I can do and very occasionally picking up something to ask about... they are so busy that it's hard to learn as fast as I'd like, and smart coworker has picked up on that I ask him the most so I gotta cool it a bit and ask co-workers what don't know as much)

Happy Valumtimes day!

 

1. Lift things according to program

Rest day, 30 min elliptical while reading Oathbringer. Shocked but not shocked to discover after 45 minutes total of reading, I'm 2% of the way in.

 

2. Eat 90+g protein

3. Eat 2 veggies & a fruit a day

Spinach at breakfast, red onion, radish, mixed greens salad plus whatever was on my sandwich at lunch. Two clementines with breakfast. 

 

4. Don't go over 

Goal today was 1550, at 1541, though I am unsure that my valentimes cookie was as low as 160. But, such is life when you eat things that don't have labels.

 

5. Don't cut yet, either

6. Write 2000 words a week!

I did not yesterday, and no time today or tomorrow. I should get time Sat/Sun.

 

Tomorrow is bench press, and while I'm on week 11 for the other 3 lift days, I'm only on week 10 for bench due to the elbow issue. How is elbow, anyway? Well, it hasn't clicked since Monday, except for once while putting away laundry also on Monday. If I do the thing it doesn't like, there's no Pain, but I can feel that stuff is happening there, there's no instability anymore. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Slow and steady seemed to be the key for not aggravating it on Monday.

I really really like the Stormlight archive, but yeah it's an undertaking even with just 3 books and I think his target for book # is higher than that. I also liked his Reckoner series which is just a trilogy and YA so pretty easy commitment if you just are like "well, I wanna read some Sanderson"

1. Lift things according to program

Did the thing. Bench press today, behind a week, so it was a 6x2 at 85 lbs. It's the first day doing full weight program since my elbow started bothering me. It's still vaguely bugging me, and I said to myself that I would stop if it clicked painfully at all, but it did no clicking whatsoever. I was super careful. I find that if I'm controlled, there's no clicking, it's just when I'm trying to shoot up that it does it. That said, I could still feel the tendon moving around on the way down and that was disconcerting. I'm falling apart. Suggestions welcome.

 

2. Eat 90+g protein

hahaha yeah goodreads has him lined up for 10 books on stormlight! for some reason i thought more than 3 were out. but they're epics right? i gotta finish some of the books/series i have before jumping into this bad boy. but yeah, sister LOVES it

Dragonette is the best, easily one of my top ten (if not top 5) favorites, and I pretty much love the entire Fixin To Thrill album

 

I MAY have isolated something I'm doing on front squats as my tendon problem culprit (like maybe I'm overextending something holding it on my collarbone?) I say this because I added front squats per the program near the time it started doing the thing, and I've been benching and curling so long it would be a surprise if it were one of those (though, I guess, anything repeated enough...)

 

Science: Going to swap from the finger/elbow hold to the arms crossed over hold to see if it helps

 

My elbow was definitely bothering me yesterday after the workout (NOT before) and this morning, and it clicked in a non-painful but loud and wet-sounding way this morning getting out of bed.

Oo, sounds like a tasty day :) . Can confirm, beer is a vegetable. Wine, however, is a fruit.
