Gunslinger_25 Stops Groening and Gets Back to Work

Please forgive any references to that horrible thing called cardio, but at the spouse's request, I'm slumming it here with you Warriors.  I kid!  @Emerald_Dragonfly has a nifty new challenge to fill you in on the absolute shitshow that has been happening for almost 6 months, but it's past the time to get all of my feces in one location.  In addition to all that, I'm trying to get my new engineering company off the ground, while still working full time and candles are being burned at both ends.  Moving forward...

I will attempt to run with a Simpsons theme, so here we go!

1.  I qualified for the Boston Marathon in September with a sub-3:00 time, so will be running that race in 8 weeks.  I am abysmally out of shape, but today is a new day, so getting my running up and running is goal #1.  I have several races on my list for this year including the Pikes Peak Marathon, a couple 100ks, and hopefully my first (successful) 100 miler.  Gotta get my fat ass in gear.

2.  I will lift three times per week, with or without the spouse, either bodyweight or 5x5 Stronglifts.  I know that has contributed greatly to my body recomp in the past, so that needs to happen.  I've got a freaking gym in my backyard, so there really should be no excuses.  Aside from laziness, obviously.

3.  Eating correctly is the 3rd piece of this super-complex puzzle.  Yeah...not complex at all.  I've done it all before.  Shooting for 1800 calories per day with a 16:8 IF eating plan.  I've done that with great success and being super lean was instrumental in BQing.  It's troubling to me that I can't seem to stick with eating well, but I guess it doesn't take much and things have been pretty crappy.  With the spouse and I hopefully in a better mental state, we can help support each other.

Another successful day!  Up at 4:10 am to make sure I lifted before heading south to play IT boy before a 9am meeting.  Did well on IF, but didn't eat until 1pm which gave me a nice headache, but NBD.  Total calorie intake 1704.  Evening run of 6 miles at 7:50s.

All bodyweight:

3x4 Squats

3x4 Pull ups

3x4 Decline pike push ups

3x4 Hanging knee raises

3x4 Pushups

3x4 Inverted straight leg rows

30 second plank

Looks like a nice course with lots of support.  Point-to-point courses are always great for giving you some variety.  I'm sure you'll do great!

Welllll...her judgement is in question, but we'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

Solid work man. Don't forget to drop eye-scarring meme's now and then. NSFW is the new black, or so @Emerald_Dragonfly always says.

Well, if there's anyone who knows NSFW, it's @Emerald_Dragonfly!

I'm sure I don't know what either of you are talking about.  Sounds like fake news.

Lifted today with the spouse.  Also made good use of the morning by picking up laminate to put on the wall of my new office, insulation with which to insulate my new office, and doing a structural inspection of a home, being the reason I need a new office.

Pretty successful first week of challenge.  Tracked 6 of 7 days, down 5 pounds.  Lifted three of three days.  Ran 4 of 7 days.  Too much work going on, which will hopefully be solved soon.
