Baxtan Posted February 11, 2018 Report Share Posted February 11, 2018 Hey all! Name is Dennis and I am fresh off my comeback victory, or respawn, or whatever you want to call it. You can check out that challenge thread here, or you can take this brief rundown... I started lifting with my focus to lose weight, gain strength, and increase all of my major lifts... ie; Squat, Bench, and Deadlift. All three lifts have gone up since starting around 5 weeks ago, and I lost around 8 lbs. So with that behind me the time has come to leave the newbies/returnees section and get back to the Warriors guild, where I belong. Only 2 things that I am going to focus on this month, just to keep it simple. 1 - Lose Weight 2 - Gain Strength Right now I am on a 3x per week workout schedule, so if you don't see three workouts from me in a week then feel free to kick my ass... I know my coach will! And as far as the weight loss goes I am currently in a PvP Battle with @Endor in a race to the first 7kg lost, so far I have lost 2.3kg and have 4.7kg to go. Those are last Mondays totals, a new weigh in is coming this Monday, so stay tuned for that. Don't feel shy around this thread, feel free to post whatever you want, whenever you want, the more the merrier! Looking forward to getting to know everyone in this Warrior Haven! KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D - 12 min: 20 sec row @ 90% 40 sec row @ 85% 20 sec row @ 80% 40 sec row @ 75% 60 sec row @ 50% 137 cal / 2476 m Despite all the weights feeling way heavier than they actually should today (those who have been around teh weights for awhile know this feeling) I still managed to increase my Deadlift and hit a solid 315x4. So there is that! Remember boys and gals, even if you dont feel like training, do it anyways! Good things CAN happen, like increasing your Deadlift. Hah! 1 hour ago, Endor said: Awesome! A - Back Squat, all sets of 5 185, 205, 225 *I honestly cant remember the last time I squatted 225#. So this is a win. B - Close Grip Bench Press, all sets of 5 115, 135, 155, 165 C - EMOM x 10 1st - 3 Press + 3 Push Press 85# 2nd - 5 Barbell Bent Over Rows 135# D - EMOM x 10 1st - 5 Push Ups + 5 Ring Rows 2nd - 3-5 Jumping Pull Ups with a slow controlled lower Was kinda bummed about painting this morning which was effecting my mood to wanna workout. However I got in there and got it done and now I feel way better. Lessen learned. Back to the grind this week tho, starting with today! @Endor Got my weigh in this morning, 226.4lbs, which is -3.2lbs from last Monday which is 1.45 kg... 1.64kg to go... unless it is already over in which case congrats lol! Ill check your thread tonight. Workout today looked like this... A - Press, work to a max set of 3 95,115,120 B - Deadlift, 3 reps every 3 mins x 5 sets. Start at 300lbs and add 10lbs every set. 300, 310, 320, 330, 340x1 (grip failed on second rep) C - Rear Elevated Single Leg Barbell RDL, 8-10 reps/leg x 3 sets 45,55,65 D - 12 mins: 3 min row @ 85-90% 1:30 row @ EZ Pace 3 min row @ 85-90% 1:30 row @ EZ 3 min row @ 85-90% Got 2630 meters and 153 cals here Overall not a bad day back in the gym after a week absence.
