Workout in the books today. 

 

A - Back Squat, work to a max 3

185, 205, 225, 245

(more strength gainzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) 

 

B - CGBP, work to a max 3

145, 165, 175

 

C - EMOM x 21 mins

1st - 5 L Arm DB Press @ 30# + 5 tough ring rows

2nd - 5 R Arm DB Press @ 30# + 5 inverted ring rows

3rd - 30 sec FLR on Rings

@Endor The fallen have risen, and will rise... glorious once more!  

 

Until then, well done Endor.  Alas it was not all a loss this challenge for me, I have lost weight, put on muscle and made strength gains... so win/win in my books!  Now that our PvP battle is done, stay in touch, don't be a stranger.

300 is one of my all time fave films and how I found NF in the first place. I walked the warrior path myself once upon a time. (before I saw the light :lol::P)

 

Not taking away from your achievements at all, you've done really well and I have to thank you for pushing me all the way,  it came down to a pretty close race in the end! You might even tick over the 7kg mark this week. The best part is we've both done very good things for our health already and the best is yet to come! 

 

I believe the terms were the winner shall receive an ode/poem/haku posted on his thread pronouncing his glorious victory! I shall await said prize with impatient anticipation.....!

 

P.S. Did you know we have a number of Spartan champions in our midst and our Ranger Commander is a real life Spartan from modern day Sparta?! @DarK_RaideR

Well, I'm not actually from the modern day city nor claim any roots from there, but this did happen in November 2017....

Got in a workout last night but was to tired and "busy" to post.  It went like this. 

 

A - Sumo Deadlift, 3 reps every 2 mins x 5 sets, start @ 255# and add 10# every set

255, 265, 275, 285, 295

 

B - Weighted Strict Dip, 4 reps x 5 sets

3,4,1,2,4

 

C - Weighted Supinated Neg Pullups, 2 reps every min x 5 mins

All reps completed

 

D1 - Ring Push Ups, AMRAP unbroken x 3 sets

4,5,4

D2 - Feet Elevated Ring Rows, AMRAP unbroken x 3 sets

4,3,4

 

Decent workout here, a lot of accessory work.  Didn't really feel much like working out by the time I had some time to do it, however put my head down and just got to it.  #HWPO

Another workout in the books this week. 

 

A - Press, work to a max 2

95,115,125,135

 

B - Deadlift, 2 reps every 2 mins, start at 275 and +20# every set

275,295,315,335

All reps complete.

 

C - Rear elevated single leg RDL, 8 reps/leg x 3 sets

65,70,75

 

D - 2 sets @ 85-90% effort

2:30 min rowing

1 min walk

2:30 min of;

10 KBS (30#)

10 Burpees

and then 1 min walk

This was a gasser at high effort, but felt good. 

 

Reminded myself this morning that every workout completed is progress that is being made, and that is the real goal!  One step at a time, and every step counts!  Happy hump day all!

Well let's wrap this challenge up shall we? 

 

Got in a workout today, and this week is testing week... which means 1 thing, 1RM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Today tested Strict Press and Deadlift, hit 145 on my Press which I don't think I have ever done, which is awesome!  And hit 365 on my Deadlift, coach only had me programmed to make attempts to 355, but 355 felt smooth so I wanted to try 365 and it went well as well!  

 

Looking back on this challenge I see that my first official weigh in during this challenge was on Feb 12 where I weighed in at 230.9, today I am sitting at 226 on the nose which is basically 5 pounds lost... so I'll take it!  Especially considering I have still been indulging in stuff that I really shouldn't indulge in... re; Doritos, Chips, Cookies, basically anything lmao!  

 

@Endor I thoroughly enjoyed our PvP battle and thank you for all the kind words and encouragement.  Like I have said in the past, please dont be a stranger and feel free to hit me up anytime.  As far as your victory poem is concerned, it has been busy, but alas... it will appear!  

 

Here is the above mentioned Deadlift

 

See you all next challenge, unless I post some other workouts for 1RM sake in here beforehand.

That's a very nice lift, well done. I think my 1RM record is 160kg so you've got me beat there. I might get you on wilks though ;) Lay off the doritos and you'll get me! :lol:

Yeah they are rebook Nanos, have had them since 2014? I like em!

I thought they might be. Nano 4's the same as mine. I've been through 3 pairs and now on my last pair which are hideous luminous orange but the only colour left in existence!! I keep an eye out in case I see some still for sale somewhere but no luck so far...

 

I had the black and red ones originally they were my favorite.

More 1RM testing today. 

 

Hit a HUGE PR with a 285# Back Squat today, was really happy with this.  Will be in 3 wheels category sooner rather than later!

Also hit a 5# PR on my CGBP at 205#, missed an attempt at 215#.  

 

Overall good day, and tomorrow the wife and I are heading into the city where I'm picking up new stuff for the gym, so thats exciting!
