A very MEH gymnastics practice last night. Worked tap swings and then some dismounts. Then went to tumble and do front handsprings and on my second one, tucked my big toe under on the landing and did an ouchie. So I worked BHS down the wedge instead (buckling arms - need to figure out a fix, sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't? I think it's "being tired" lol) Then finished with handstand practice.

 

2) Read

Splits work and more stretching. I think it's about time for a massage.

Lol I have no idea. I guess I need to ponder a bit more before I can come up with something. I fluctuate between 1 week wanting to lose BF and the next wanting to gain.

When Mr. Raxie and I first got our own place we thought the second bathroom would be the "guest" bathroom.  That quickly that turned into me telling him the guest bathroom was actually now his bathroom.  Best decision we ever made.

We have a loft and I've stolen the upstairs closet and bathroom as my own, although we sleep in the downstairs bedroom. It's nice with the shift work because that way I don't wake up Mr J when getting ready in the morning.

Chest/Back yesterday morning. I like the upper body workouts because they are so much shorter :) I can also tell how being more consistent is making them easier. Didn't have to drop weight halfway through my 6 sets this week.

Wifey did this at the new house, at the recommendation of my traitor mother. I now have to go downstairs and walk through 5 rooms to get to the shower. I now get constantly yelled at for all the beard hairs all over the guest bathroom.

 

On the plus side, once my daughters are older, I'll have have my bathroom while all 3 girls are sharing one upstairs. I like to pretend that's what will happen at least. In reality the daughters will probably claim my bathroom and I'll be subjugated to the basement powder room or something.

We did this too. My closet/dresser/personal space is in the sewing/computer room because I get up way earlier than him / have more stuff. He gets the closet/dresser in the bedroom. It also keeps us sane because we then don't have any fights over who is taking up too much space. This way when I get up at the ass crack of dawn I can do all my getting ready in the other room.

F 3/2 - Su 3/4

1) Fitness

Get through week 8 of the Bigness Project by the end of the challenge (4 lift days/week)

☑☑☑☑☑☑☑ Daily 22 pushups

 

Thursday night did handstand work.

Friday morning was arms and shoulders and threw in some extra pullups because I had some time.

Sunday was W8D1. Starting with week 8 it moves to a 5 day format with a bit of a different layout and a little longer workouts:

   Day 1: quad dominant

   Day 2: Upper body vertical push/pull

   Day 3: Glutes & Delts

   Day 4: Upper body horizontal push/pull

   Day 5: Hamstring dominant

Having hamstring dominant the workout immediately before quad dominant seems like a bad idea if I want to be able to walk, but HEY I'll give it a shot. Gotta try to figure out what day I want my rest day to be. Prob. Saturday.

Also, sets of 20 sissy squats lol RIP my quads. But also I missed KB swings and happy to have them back, and happy to be able to do them w/o pain \o/

 

2) Read

 Comic a day. Total 13

Read Cyborg and also started a new book book.

 

3) Movement/Mobility

Stretched on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

 

4) Nutrition

Getting to where I want to do a cut but I don't know how to cut without getting super restrictive and having weird rules about food. Might do an RP template?

Good on this goal for TH and F :)

So instead of using a tool that makes cleaning up easier... you would rather get yelled at for leaving the bathroom dirty, and have to work harder to clean it up? Because it looks silly, but nobody will see you use it?

Yup. Beard trimmings happen once a month max now, and I clean it up really well each time, so it's a non-issue anymore. Sure, I shed the long beard hairs now and again, but she does the same thing with her 3' long head hair, so we're even.

Gymnastics Monday. Bars work: tap swings, front hip circles and that's about it. Called it quits because my hands started to hurt and I now see today (without chalky hands) I developed 2 blisters yesterday. So... that's fun. Moved on to front tucks which feeling better, but I looked up a few drills today to try at next practice instead of just throwing. Ended with handstands and stretching.

Upper body this morning. Week 8 is giving me the ouchies.

 

I also timed it out and if I stay on track with my program I am scheduled to finish it April 22. GUESS WHAT DAY MY GYM MEMBERSHIP ENDS??? JUST GUESS YOU GUYS!!

Left at 6:20 and should have left earlier because conditions were awful. It was snowing real bad and visibility was awful. I was going 30 on the highway (3 lanes). It is 5:48 now and I'm fixing to leave.

Oh haiii!!!! To be fair I started a week late :) I don't time them, but I think they usually end up about 10 minutes or longer if I stretch and foam roll.

Srsly, why is nutrition so dumb.
