there are many definitions and ways of being fun ;)

hah.  I'm at peace with myself about how I am.  I'm not worried about not being fun.

Luckily there are zero options around here for getting any, so I don't have to worry about succumbing

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN A COUNTRY WITHOUT DOUGHNUTS!!!

Sorry, lost in translation. When we say "siestog", like we feel a little bit sorry for you, while trying not to smile, with a friendly pat on the back.
So trying not to laugh at/with your wife's reactions (enjoyment of her night, I'm really happy she had a good night out :) ), while happy for you for the acknowledgement from a previous student, but a little bit sad because you seemed to convey a little bit of "oh my word" feelings about your wife's reactions?

Oh, ok.  Yeah she enjoys life more than I do.  Not so much an “oh my word”. She brings balance to my darkness.

Haha. So, we're colleagues! :) Are there any more teachers among the Rangers?

Hmmm, I’m not sure.  There used to be quite a few and I tried to follow them all, but there’s a lot of coming and going around here and I lost track.

Thanks.  We got out of the habit, the last few springs have been too sudden.  In a good year we can get a couple of cups from our tree.  One year I’ll use my 20seconds of bravery and ask the neighbors if I can tap their trees too.

I, in fact, did not shovelglove.  We went to Target after dance class.  Among socks and underwear and whatnot, we bought an intro to Pokemon box.  I haven't been as present as I should be in the kid's lives lately.  Slothboy  and I stayed up late trying to learn the game.  It was a worthwhile trade-off even if it gets Rooks and TML one more day closer to being able to keep up at the hammer race.

Suffering from doughnut withdrawals, apparently.  Dunkin Donuts expanded into China from last year, but they only have a few locations, the nearest to me is about a 1 hour drive.  I would even consider that worth it, though, if it weren't for the fact that they only have like 4 flavors, and none of them are the ones I like :(

Yea, that got my family into World of Warcraft and Pokemon cards, but it was worth it in order to have SOMETHING to talk about with a teenager!!

Pathfinder has a card game also that has a pretty neat set up. I like it a lot better than Pokemon / MTG, because it is working together.

Good for you for trying to actually learn the game! My boys aren't all that interested in playing the game so much as collecting the cards and finding ones they don't have yet. To them, its more like collecting baseball cards. They want me involved in their collecting because of the cash. Well, that's not fair, the youngest one does want to tell me about all of the cards he has/wants and why. Even though I could care less about the Pokemon cards, I love that he wants to spend time telling me about something important to him.

Pathfinder is fun if very crunchy and with a high start up cost. For folks who like adventure card games I will recommend Arkham Horror the LCG too, although it might not be a good play for Sloth-children right now.

3/35/18 Sunday

I just saw a picture of myself. Holy crap was this winter of my discontent hard on my body. I’m fat and slovenly. I won’t give TML or Rooks shit about the Hammer Race any more because I don’t look like someone who can finish it.

I’m really ticked at myself for not taking care of myself. Which, honestly, is a big step up from not giving a fuck about it. Now I need to take another step and actually start doing something.

Enough moaning...

Today I Shovelgloved.

I don’t think Dunkin Donuts are that great,  but if it was my only option I’d certainly eat them. They don’t have a basic glazed donut? Or you don’t like that?

I dont think we’re there yet, but one day.  Right now it’s more about the Pokémon obsession that is rolling through the first grades around the country and my trying to turn it into something more than obsessing over cards I’m not going to buy him.

Hah. That’s what I want to avoid.

That’s how I feel about it, although he’s getting pretty exasperated with my inability to remember the abilities of Zigzagoon and their compatriots.

Right now we’re playing a lot of Dragonwood and that’s about as crunchy as we’re gonna handle for a while. Sushi Go is in the regular rotation too.

You’re exactly right. I did maintain the keystone habit of dragging my butt out of bed ridiculously early. I deleted most everything interesting off my phone and iPad in hopes that it’ll be easier to use that time more productively.

Basic glazed doughnuts are basically a combination of wet sugar and air, so I can only enjoy them when they are fresh out of the oven.  I am a cake doughnut person, which puts me firmly outside of the target demographic for Dunkin Donuts China's marketing strategy

Every now and then someone will tell me there are doughnuts in the office. I always hurry down there only to find out they’re cake donuts. It’s enough to make a man cry.

I see we have a very synergistic and cooperative approach to doughnut consumption.  We will never end up in the situation where we have to fight over the last doughnut in a box :)

I’m feeling pretty rough today. Since Thursday night I’ve totaled about 8 hours of sleep. Apparently insomnia is a side effect of the new meds. I should work through it soon.

This morning I did a habit-building placeholder workout as Peelout suggested.
Shovelglove- 1 set of 5/5 X 5 movements. The 16# Hammer felt like it was 50#.

In the middle of the night I started worrying about eating on the road. I ordered a supply of Huel as a food substitute.

Last night I was at the big game store while I waited for Slothgirl. I managed not to spend any money.

We only have the one kind (yeast deep fried in oil) here in general. I'm learning new things, but luckily doughnuts are off our buy list as it doesn't work with Rocco's tummy.
