Our blind player really puts a crimp in my game buying.  Since they’re my only gaming outlet I don’t want to spend the money on something that we end up not being able to play.  I was tempted to buy some D&D figures, but my eyes are too old to paint anymore and I hate the mystery box aspect of the plastic figures.  I almost bought some dice just to be supportive, but I have way more dice than I need. 

 

I also didn’t spend any money at the bike shop next door.

We only have the one kind (yeast deep fried in oil) here in general. I'm learning new things, but luckily doughnuts are off our buy list as it doesn't work with Rocco's tummy.

Thanks.  Slothgirl was at a birthday party and the house was a couple blocks away from the business node.  It was a pretty good afternoon. 

 

Doughnuts don’t work with my belly either, but they’re really hard to quit.

I googled and still don’t really understand the difference you’re talking about.  We only ever used to get jam doughnuts - mainly for parties when you’re little and you tie them to a washing line and have to try to eat them with your hands behind your back.  Dunkin donuts then arrived and people buy them for work - I think they look and smell revolting and have never had them - I have enough cravings for other junk that I don’t need to expand my repertoire.

Sadly he has passed on due to to stomach cancer. He emigrated to the town where I went to college from Egypt after Nasser was assassinated. Rumors persisted that he was an executive chef for the late leader. He would stay up all night baking, then sell donuts to people on their way to the factories nearby. We would often do our Greek homework there. Just about the time we were parsing the verbs (an especially tedious part of the assignment), the crullers would be ready. I had an affinity for the chocolate covered ones. 

His coffee was also better than this world deserved.

When my siblings are I were growing up, we spent a lot of time making up our own games.  One was called "roadkill."   Basically, two kids stand across from each other on either side of the room (preferably in front of couches) and are "cars" and the third stands where they can run perpendicular to the other two.  That person is an animal (level one was a mouse).  On the count of three, everyone runs in a straight line.  If the animal gets hit by a car, they remain a mouse, but if they didn't, they go up a level.  The goal is for the mouse to become an elephant (because your could swing at the cars with your "trunk" (arms)).  Lots of hours spent trying to run over my little sister, but she loved it.

That game sounds awesome. I don’t know what game the kids made up, but a few days ago Slothgirl ended up with a scrape covering most of her ribs and a bruise on half her back. I think Slothboy won.

 

The kids went to the library a couple of days ago and now they won’t play with me because the have a sack of unread books  stupid books always ruining everything. 

 

 

Another shovelglove placeholder day. I was going to cardio today, but Mrs. Sloth has the plague (again) and I stayed home. I did, however, clean out the big rig.  So, so much garbage.  I think I filled up the shop vac. I also used the upholstery cleaner and got the vomit, cool aid, and chocolate malt that was all over the rear seats.  After the horse left that barn we implemented the no-liquids-but-water-in-the-van rule.

The vomit was mostly cleaned up when it was fresh, but it was below zero and I did a half-assed job, I don’t know how old the malt was, I just found out about it, and I’m still irritated about the Kool Aid. But it all came up. It’s nice to drive a car that doesn’t smell.

it’s crazy at school with spring break just around the corner, but I’m weathering it better than I had been. “Better living through chemistry.”  Speaking of which, I’m still doing the sleep madness. I went off my ADHD meds to see if that helps. 

 

Mrs Sloth is very sick. She is talking about not going to Texas. Which is fine with me. I’d love to get south, but spending half my break driving is a dreary prospect. 

 

I got got in a full Shovelglove workout this morning. Gotta add in some flexibility and cardio next.

Thanks, I’m starting to feel like me again. The sleep, or lack of, happens often enough that it isn’t really a big deal as long as it doesn’t go on too long.

Hopefully the plague won’t go any further, but I tend to catch everything. Probably because I’m chronically sleep deprived.

The kids have already worked through their big sack of books so I should be able to play Pokémon again tomorrow. I gave Slothgirl my old copy of A Wizard of Earthsea and printed in the middle was an ad for Kent cigarettes

Love love love this book.  I actually liked the second book, Tombs of Atuan, every so slightly better...? This is a controversial statement in some crowds, I know.  But since pumpkin spice was brought up I think the controversy bar here must be high.
