Miss Marissa doing space things

1) Taking up space

Still doing the Bigness project so my body takes up more space. But also need to cut because my legs/butt are taking up too much space and jeans are tight. (program is working lol) I did get "behind" from last challenge due to birthday things (just finished W9 this morning). Ideally I'll be into W13 when the challenge ends.

Get through week 12 of the Bigness Project by the end of the challenge (4 lift days/week)

☐☐☐☐☐ Week 10

☐☐☐☐☐ Week 11

☐☐☐☐☐ Week 12

 Handstands 2x/week, 10 minutes min.

☐☐☐☐☐☐☐ Daily 22 pushups

As far as nutrition bit: attempt to follow RP template? This is more of a 'keep yall updated' thing as opposed to formal tracking thing because tracking food makes me anxious and I just want to dip my toes back in that pool. The template is 3-4 meals a day with certain protein, carb, fat and veggie servings (to be eyeballed) and up to 350 cal daily of ANYTHING I'd like to eat. Ideally anything is not Oreos every single day.

2) Making things for space

I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I also need to maintain work life balance. This has been a struggle I'm still fighting through. My standard start time is 9 am, 9-7 is 10 hours (with no lunch) putting me at ~50/week. Sometimes I'm in earlier, sometimes I take a longer or shorter lunch. These guidelines should help put me where I need to be.

☐☐☐☐☐ Leave work by 7pm. (6:20 on Mondays)

☐No less than 45 hours/week

Go out for lunch 1x/week max

3) Clearing space

I have too many things and it is starting to give me anxiety. 3 sessions must include: car, office, home. Bonus points for extra home sessions. (Bonus points are like Who's Line is it Anyway)

☐☐☐ Minimum of 3 decluttering sessions over the challenge.

☐ Actually take things to sell/donate/trash by end of challenge

4) Also reading comics, but don't know how to space theme it?

 Comic a day. Total:

☐☐☐☐☐ Week 12

 Handstands 2x/week, 10 minutes min.

☑☑☑☐☐☐☐ Daily 22 pushups

Wednesday nutrition:

Breakfast: cottage cheese ~1/2cup, few oz blackberries, 2 slices thick bacon, 2 slices toast + pb, coffee + 1 creamer

Lunch: Chicken Salad served on spring mix

Dinner: 2 tacos w/ flour tortillas, cotija cheese, sauteed mushrooms in adobo sauce, roasted squash + peppers, avocado, salsa

Snacks: 1 russell stover chocolate, 1 crappy lemon blueberry poppyseed bar

Maybe missed something but only started halfway thru the day. Next week is probably going to track better.

Also adding another sub-goal here. No alcohol over the length of the challenge.

No comic reading so far because this week has been BONKERS.

Did some long hip stretching last night. Didn't make gymnastics on Monday due to sorority things so hoping for tonight to get some handstands + stretching. For the rest of this week aiming for:

Thursday night: Gymnastics + handstands

Friday: W10D1

Saturday: W10D2 + handstands

Sunday: W10D3 or maybe rest

I think we all just want to believe that the Big Bang Theory is real and that we're friends with the characters. Not that I had it in mind you made space toilets, but I had no reason to think you didn't either...

Did not make it to gymnastics as I had to prep for a meeting today and worked at home after dinner. Handstands tonight at the gym to make up for it. Probably only hit 1 session this week. Also forgot next week is Spring Break so no Monday gymnastics :/

Did buy girl scout cookies, so that danger is now present. But apparently the reward she selected for the number of boxes she sold is an American Girl Doll that is an astronaut, which is pretty dope.

GOOD MOVIE!

I bought a 6 oz thing of ice cream at the grocery store and only ate a few bites before realizing I didn't really want it and put it back in the freezer. The whole thing was 240 calories.

March 23-25

Workout Friday evening squats + handstands. Also watched the Shape of Water which I enjoyed quite thoroughly.

I've also not really been posting my numbers on weights here because I've been too embarrassed at how low they were after injury and through my loooong recovery process. For a while I couldn't even squat to parallel, and over this program I've broke parallel. And this week I squatted #95x12 for 3 sets and then a 4th set of 10 reps. It's not the most weight I've done for that many reps (I think I've managed #135 for 10, but not sure about 12 rep sets). But it honestly wasn't too difficult. And reps were snappy and pain free :D Next week bumps to 5 sets of 12-15, which I will try to complete all at 95#.

This has me itching to get back on a powerlifting program, but I am honestly very nervous about lifting heavy again.

Saturday I slept til nearly noon. And then took a nap. Laid around watching movies and reading comics all day <3

Sunday went to PoGo community day at the zoo with Amdhiel and her sister. Caught many Bulbasaur. Also got pizza for lunch. After, cleaned the place with Mr. J and then went to the gym for upper body vertical push/pull.

AND!!!!!!! Mr. J came with and walked on the treadmill for the entire time (~50 minutes) and he asked me to start waking him up in the morning when I wake up so he can keep doing that.  :D

Don't recall most of my nutrition over the weekend, but I'll try:

Friday nutrition:

Breakfast: some combination of bacon, 2 slices toast + pb, eggs

Lunch: Chicken Salad served on spring mix

Dinner: pizza - papa murphys herb chicken Mediterranean

Saturday:

French toast

moar pizza

Sunday

pizza

pizza

pork roast, onion, potato, carrot

Sprinkled throughout are girl scout cookies and a few chocolates. Today is when the "serious" tracking begins.

2) Making things for space

☑☑☑ Leave work by 7pm. Good here Friday and 4/5 on the week.

No less than 45 hours/week  - Right at 45

Go out for lunch 1x/week max

3) Clearing space

I have too many things and it is starting to give me anxiety. 3 sessions must include: car, office, home. Bonus points for extra home sessions. (Bonus points are like Who's Line is it Anyway)

☐☐☐ Minimum of 3 decluttering sessions over the challenge.

Did some cleaning, but no decluttering. I think one area I'd like to tackle at home is the movies and bookshelves. We'll see. We both have a lot of old school stuff that we don't want to get rid of as a "just in case" thing because old notes aren't replaceable. But they also, aren't super useful right now.

Over here, I have had Kerbal Space Program for about a week or so, but have still not managed to make a Kerbal puke.  They must have some incredible fortitude!

So far, the biggest things I have managed were:

1. Forgetting to get rid of the SRB stage - and the dead weight of the rocket was too much for the parachute.

2. Making a casule do a very rapid zero-G spin in space.

Next up is making a capsule escape gravity with no idea how to retrieve my Kerbal!

I tried my best to keep all my textbooks, but went through so many moves.  I have most of the essential ones.  I never know when a textbook comes in handy.

Notes?  I'm not sure what those are.  If I ever took notes in school, I threw them away at the end of class.

EDIT:  Wait!  I remember!  Notes were what I wrote to that girl I liked.  Back in those days, we did not have cell phones and there was no such thing as text messaging.  Some of us were just starting to discover email.

I'm actually pretty comfortable body comp wise. And weight wise also, except for the fact that I know losing weight will help with some BW exercises. I actually stepped on the scale for the first time in a while and was 154 with clothes on. So... about the same as a year ago? Maybe 1 kilo higher. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We have Gamecube and PS2 games and don't own either of those systems.... But they are not decoration, just taking up valuable under the bed space.

I've already cleaned/purged a few times, getting rid of more stuff slowly each time. I sold a few textbooks a few months back and have 4 more a friend was interested in for his kids that I'm holding onto until my next trip back to Indiana. Most of the books I reference are at work, which helps. But still have a printer box full of binders/notebooks and 1 or 2 bookshelves full of stuff between the 2 of us. I could definitely recycle most of it. Or at least much of it that was from the early years of college: basic calculus, physics, etc that would be easy to replace, compared to something like say the 4 books I have on rotordynamics that I use.

LoL! I probably should have thrown away more as I went. But some of them have been surprisingly useful in my career. Most of them I can probably dump though.

A few of us were discussing having cell phones in school on Tuesday because Koo's oldest has one but the boys don't. I got a cell phone when I got my driver's license, but didn't text because it was $10/month for like 30 texts or something ridiculously low that I had to pay my parents. Also, phones were so bad back then that my battery usually lasted long enough to turn the phone on, make 1 call to my parents and then it would die. If I was lucky I could get 2 calls lol It was also my mothers "recycled" phone I was using so she had a few years of use on it before I got it.

4) Also reading comics, but don't know how to space theme it?

 Comic a day. Total: 2

No reading. It was a pretty busy night, by the time I finished everything it was already like 10 pm. I probably should have read though because I had a hard time falling asleep. This morning was rough.
