miss_marissa
1) Taking up space Still doing the Bigness project so my body takes up more space. But also need to cut because my legs/butt are taking up too much space and jeans are tight. (program is working lol) I did get "behind" from last challenge due to birthday things (just finished W9 this morning). Ideally I'll be into W13 when the challenge ends. Get through week 12 of the Bigness Project by the end of the challenge (4 lift days/week) ☐☐☐☐☐ Week 10 ☐☐☐☐☐ Week 11 ☐☐☐☐☐ Week 12 ☐☐ Handstands 2x/week, 10 minutes min. ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐ Daily 22 pushups As far as nutrition bit: attempt to follow RP template? This is more of a 'keep yall updated' thing as opposed to formal tracking thing because tracking food makes me anxious and I just want to dip my toes back in that pool. The template is 3-4 meals a day with certain protein, carb, fat and veggie servings (to be eyeballed) and up to 350 cal daily of ANYTHING I'd like to eat. Ideally anything is not Oreos every single day. 2) Making things for space I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I also need to maintain work life balance. This has been a struggle I'm still fighting through. My standard start time is 9 am, 9-7 is 10 hours (with no lunch) putting me at ~50/week. Sometimes I'm in earlier, sometimes I take a longer or shorter lunch. These guidelines should help put me where I need to be. ☐☐☐☐☐ Leave work by 7pm. (6:20 on Mondays) ☐No less than 45 hours/week ☐Go out for lunch 1x/week max 3) Clearing space I have too many things and it is starting to give me anxiety. 3 sessions must include: car, office, home. Bonus points for extra home sessions. (Bonus points are like Who's Line is it Anyway) ☐☐☐ Minimum of 3 decluttering sessions over the challenge. ☐ Actually take things to sell/donate/trash by end of challenge 4) Also reading comics, but don't know how to space theme it? ☐ Comic a day. I've also not really been posting my numbers on weights here because I've been too embarrassed at how low they were after injury and through my loooong recovery process. For a while I couldn't even squat to parallel, and over this program I've broke parallel. And this week I squatted #95x12 for 3 sets and then a 4th set of 10 reps. It's not the most weight I've done for that many reps (I think I've managed #135 for 10, but not sure about 12 rep sets). But it honestly wasn't too difficult. And reps were snappy and pain free Next week bumps to 5 sets of 12-15, which I will try to complete all at 95#. This has me itching to get back on a powerlifting program, but I am honestly very nervous about lifting heavy again. Saturday I slept til nearly noon. And then took a nap. Laid around watching movies and reading comics all day <3 Sunday went to PoGo community day at the zoo with Amdhiel and her sister. Caught many Bulbasaur. Also got pizza for lunch. Forgetting to get rid of the SRB stage - and the dead weight of the rocket was too much for the parachute. 2. Making a casule do a very rapid zero-G spin in space. Next up is making a capsule escape gravity with no idea how to retrieve my Kerbal! I'm feeling those feels! I have been taking a break from MFP for kind of weight too long! Never played! But as you know I'm not much of a gamer 23 hours ago, Sam Ashen said: I'm feeling those feels! I have been taking a break from MFP for kind of weight too long! I'm actually pretty comfortable body comp wise. And weight wise also, except for the fact that I know losing weight will help with some BW exercises. I actually stepped on the scale for the first time in a while and was 154 with clothes on. So... about the same as a year ago? Maybe 1 kilo higher. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 20 hours ago, CourtnieMarie said: this is real hard. i have refused to get rid of my VHSs and DVDs mostly just because but also I call them "decoration" the school stuff on the other hand, I definitely will just toss unless there's more space in the notebooks to be used. maybe try coming up with scenarios where the old notes would be useful and then decide how viable those scenarios are? We have Gamecube and PS2 games and don't own either of those systems.... But they are not decoration, just taking up valuable under the bed space. I've already cleaned/purged a few times, getting rid of more stuff slowly each time. I sold a few textbooks a few months back and have 4 more a friend was interested in for his kids that I'm holding onto until my next trip back to Indiana. Most of the books I reference are at work, which helps. But still have a printer box full of binders/notebooks and 1 or 2 bookshelves full of stuff between the 2 of us. I could definitely recycle most of it. Or at least much of it that was from the early years of college: basic calculus, physics, etc that would be easy to replace, compared to something like say the 4 books I have on rotordynamics that I use. 3 hours ago, Sam Ashen said: I tried my best to keep all my textbooks, but went through so many moves. I have most of the essential ones. I never know when a textbook comes in handy. Notes? I'm not sure what those are. If I ever took notes in school, I threw them away at the end of class. EDIT: Wait! I remember! Notes were what I wrote to that girl I liked. Back in those days, we did not have cell phones and there was no such thing as text messaging. Some of us were just starting to discover email. LoL! I probably should have thrown away more as I went. But some of them have been surprisingly useful in my career. Most of them I can probably dump though. A few of us were discussing having cell phones in school on Tuesday because Koo's oldest has one but the boys don't. I got a cell phone when I got my driver's license, but didn't text because it was $10/month for like 30 texts or something ridiculously low that I had to pay my parents. Also, phones were so bad back then that my battery usually lasted long enough to turn the phone on, make 1 call to my parents and then it would die. If I was lucky I could get 2 calls lol It was also my mothers "recycled" phone I was using so she had a few years of use on it before I got it. March 26 No gymnastics, cancelled for Spring Break.
