dancezwithkittehz
I'm still pondering my exact goals but I am looking at something like this: Drinks water - DRINK MORE WATER. Aim for finishing two 16 oz water cups at work and 16 more oz in the evening (so 16 oz x 3 minimum per day!) I could probably also bump up my usual 8oz glass with my pills in the morning to be a 16 oz if I want to be extra! Does cardio - I have not done SHIT for cardio lately except dance and when my trainer decides to make me do HIIT every now and then. Which consequently HIIT feels terrible because my body is like WTF ARE YOU DOING, DUDE?! Cardio 3x per week. This can be as basic as going for a lunch walk to doing an HIIT video. (I'll count dance in this area unless we are doing something super mellow and slow and flowy that doesn't get my heart rate up!) THIRD GOAL OF MYSTERY - Tracks calories? Grip strength? Pull up stuff? HMMMMM. TBD! I am leaning towards doing grip again because it still sucks and my intuitive eating plan seems to be going well; I'm losing fat while not being totally dead for workouts. If I feel that "YOU NEED TO EAT MORE" hanger and grumpiness I make myself eat more and I generally eat more on training days/ days after training days and less when I haven't had time to get in workouts. Life Goal: Declutter - need to decide on specifics but I am thinking I need to require minimum of 30 min declutter per week. But I am almost thinking if I make myself do smaller chunks vs one big chunk all together that will help it become more of a habit. Hmm. Basically I've been BUSY so what declutter progress I had made is now all gone and my room looks terrifying. (admittedly I did intentionally sort of spread around my clothing piles to make my room look ransacked when we were getting the house fumigated so if anyone broke in they'd come in and be like NAAAAH. Hahahahahaha.) 2 Quote Assassin extraordinaire!! Chimichanga
Are you going to attempt to make water more interesting in order to increase your intake? It takes sooooo long to build. UGH. And I tend to try and make myself drink straight up water. On weekends I drink A LOT of beer though so like..I'm almost kinda hydrating? Hahahaha. I have several of those little drops you can use to flavor water/ give water electrolytes but I try to stick to those mostly when I am either hungover or I did a really hard workout that made me sweat. I actually don't mind the taste of straight up water! I just never drink enough throughout the day! I'm finding if I just chug at least 8oz or so whenever I drink it's helping my intake because then I can forget to be drinking it for a while but I drank enough at once to make up for it! sylph
Decluttering is a tough one--I think everyone has their own method that works best for them. I like the 'do 5 mins here and there when I think about it' strategy. Hubs likes the 'weekend marathon, do it til it's done' strategy. Thus we drive each other crazy. You're 30 min/week goal could easily be broken down to 5 mins/day. So, when you get home, take 5 mins and fold some clothes or sort some junk or whatever and you'll start to make a dent eventually. (Beware of the 'it starts to look worse before it looks better' phenomenon that happens somewhere in the middle. ) 1 Quote Link to comment
dancezwithkittehz
Yeaaaah trying to declutter has been a years long goal of mine and I've gone through many stages of OH GOD WHY DOES IT LOOK WORSE. Haha. I think I just need to be more ruthless this time around, especially about just getting rid of clothes and shoes. I just have too much of both of those things and I hold onto things I haven't worn in YEARS. I'm always afraid I'll get rid of something and then realize months later that I want to wear that thing and then now I don't have it! Quote Assassin extraordinaire!! dancezwithkittehz
Week 1 is starting very fittingly with me being miserable and having a UTI because I did not drink enough water on Saturday >.< FAILLLLL. I am however winning at this water game NOW because I am chugging water like it is going out of style sooo yay? I originally was thinking to do one of my cardio days today but until these antibiotics kick in and I don't feel miserable I will NOT be doing actual exercise because I feel like that would just anger the bladder even more? Ugh ugh ugh. Declutter - I felt like ass this weekend but I DID actually get in a few minutes of decluttering. I should be able to squeeze in 30 by the end of the week no probs! I’m also still pounding glasses of baking soda water which is SO GROSS but it got me throughout Saturday and Sunday until I could get into doctor. Also ALL THE WATER. I have also realized that having an hour commute when you have a UTI is pretty much the worst. I barely went in today. Hopefully tomorrow I will be doing much better! dancezwithkittehz
Bleeeegh still at home. Mornings are the worst since I have not had enough water while I am sleeping and keeping super hydrated helps me feel better. I also discovered that AZO on empty stomach = nope nope nope nope. Managed to make myself super sick to my stomach at like 5:30 am and sadly ate a banana while laying in bed (which eventually helped me feel better.) 1 Quote Assassin extraordinaire!! dancezwithkittehz
THIS LAST WEEK WAS CRAZY. CAN I HAS NAP NOW?! FOR LIKE A MONTH?! Luckily antibiotic had me feeling better by last weekend because I then had to try and install 626 square feet of flooring in 2 days (which did not happen and I had to take off almost 3 days last week to finish up the work) buuuut our new tenant is now in the back apartment YAY. We still need to do a few things back there (like have her closet door installed) but I am paying someone to do that shit and we'll find a time that works for her. UGH UGH. Also, in the process of moving in her brother accidentally knocked over the awkward arch thing over our driveway (his helper waved him back straight into it) which had not much purpose other than it's support post housed all the mailboxes....but yeah the knocked over thing then blocked the entire driveway. They still somehow managed to move all her stuff in, we managed to get our contractor to come out and demolish the dead arch on Saturday morning and her brother gave us the $ to cover the work soooo all in all that was resolved so yay. But yeah, I was already stressed to the point of near tears on Friday BEFORE that happened soooo not helping. So on the weekend I did not do SHIT (well, mostly? we HAD to go get new mailboxes and figure out where to mount them since the old post was gone!) but yes, RELAXING WAS HAD. But definitely not enough to make up for the last month of no break plus the madness that was last week. 1 Quote Assassin extraordinaire!! dancezwithkittehz
Oh, and I also decided to take measurements again this week since I KNOW I have lost some fluff (being sick and not being able to eat plus then being busy to eat while installing floors = extra bonus cut!) Annnd I actually have smaller measurements in a few spaces. WOOT! Unfortunately one of those is on the bra band area which I am not happy about (if it drops 1 more inch I need to completely rebuy an entire bra wardrobe but I STILL won't be small enough around for all the size 30 bands from a few years back that I haven't had the heart to throw out yet...like $500 worth of bras probably. ARGH) Current measurements: bra band: 33 (down from 34) waist: 32 (down from 34) hips: 43 (down from 45 ish? I think?) Fluffy lower belly: 40 (I decided to measure the fluffy lower belly which is the main thing I want GONE DAMMIT and it has gotten smaller but I hadn't been keeping track of that. Now I will! Luckily because it is floppy/ the skin still needs to shrink down in that area it is held in by pants and is not really visible when clothed at least.) 2 Quote Assassin extraordinaire!!
