Honestly, I don't have much of  theme. Just sorta doing my thing. Which this time happens to be like this

Goal 1 : Morning Routine

Read Bible, clear kitchen, eat breakfast

What's NOT happening this time; There is no time table, I've been trying to make it a habit to start at a certain time for over a year. Tried bribes, and punishments. I do it for a while, and then I just resent having to do it. I have made a great habit of getting stuff done before I  sit down though. So, at lest for this month, I'm going to be happy with that. I'm going to start my day when I start it. I'm hoping that on days I'm busy I will get moving quickly, by allowing myself to take it a bit slower on days I'm less busy.

Goal 2:

Mindful Eating

I've been working at this as a soft goal, but I'd like some accountability.  Right now what I am working on is to slow down my eating. So during dinner, purposefully placing my fork down between bites. I can do this at other meals times too, but I want to really make it a habit during dinner.  Right now I am working on maintaining my weight, and eating slowly helps me be more aware of when I am full.

Goal 3:

Work on my long term goals; scrapbooking, and home remodeling and post at least weekly in my accountabilibuddy group

other stuff:

I am doing Rings 1 program from GMB. It's a 3 day a week program.They also have an optional leg program to do on my off days. I'll do those as time and enrgy allows. I'm also following GMB"s Focused Flexibility plan. It's spring, so hopefully that means more outdoor time, and more geocaching.

I use MFP. I find it keeps me accountable. But I don't have a goal for it. If I don't feel like doing it one day, or several days, that is fine.

Here for get-ups.

:lol: No get- ups planned for my program, which is why you are now required to do them. Though hearing you and Wolfie talk about kettlebells makes me want to do them. After I read your thread, I thought maybe I could do get-ups on off days, and I have to do Farmer Walks, and now it's spring so I should ruck some. Ranger brain.:)

you know.  I'm carrying a Ruck ( I suppose ) but I dont' even think of it as rucking.  15#(ish) daypack* goes on all my hikes.

I'll be honest I plain up think of it as hiking.

but if the purpose of a Ruck is intensify the hike.  alternately;

* walk faster

* Hike taller hills

*Hike longer

* Hike more rugged ground; ie bushwhacking

just to point out obvious solutions to hoisting 35pounds (or whatever) of unneeded weight on one's back.

----

*anyways carrying a little day pack is recommended anyways in nearly every hike cause its just plain good to have

a knife, first aid, water, an aluminum blanket, matches (etc),  batteries (backup for the gps) and I picked up this very handy little tarp.

I strongly recommend wearing a pack with a few things no matter where you hike.

Newlywed activities are more fun than sitting around and staring at your phone. I’m the one who should be grumbling.

Usually when I say ruck, I mean putting on a weighted backpack and just walking around town. No reason for the backpack other than to add weight. I live on a hill, and am surrounded by hills, so just rucking around my neighborhood gives me a good workout (not if I was prepping for a 100 mile walk, but for general life purposes)

When we go geocaching we carry a light day back with snacks and minor first aid stuff and water. No emergency supplies though.

Random things I'm thinking

I made Kahlua pork in the a instant pot https://nomnompaleo.com/post/111934821818/pressure-cooker-kalua-pig

I am reading the book @Tanktimus the Encourager the encourager recommended a bit ago, What  YOur Body Know About God, and I am finding it fascinating

and here is a copy and paste  of my training log

Today’s workout seemed a bit easier. I guess I am getting into the groove of rings again. Looking at what I did last year, I realized I didn’t start filming until I was about half way done. Which means I had no idea of what my form looked like. And I hadn’t started with the posse. So most likely my form left a lot to be desired. The video I watched, there was a lot of chicken wing going on, my elbows were way out. Which means things have improved. I just get impatient and need to remind myself of that.

SInce the push up video didn’t work last time, I tried it again. I’ll post that soon. I’m having a bit of trouble figuring out the knee position on my push ups, and wondering what my form looks like.

Todays workout; The exercise felt solid and smooth. Though, like I said I am a bit unsure on the pushups. Dips felt much better

top position 20 sec x 5
dip 8/8/8/9/6
push up 5/5/5/6/6
plank 20/20/20/30
mountain climbers 7/7/6/5/5

Here for Elastigirl steadfastness, or is it tenacity? Or is it stick-to-it-ness? No, it's all of them!

Thanks

All proof that having you as a friend makes my life happy. The pork was so good.
