Irish Ranger joining in.

Hi there,

 

Been browsing the forums for a while so thought I'd join up and join in.

 

I'm a 30 something guy that hasn't been active for best part of 10years. The middle spread was happening and each night started to blur- home from work, switch on tv, snack, bed.  So a while ago, I cleaned up the diet, lost some weight and have been working on bodyweight strength work.

 

I've seen some good progress with strength, numbers slowly going up. Able to climb and swing with the best of them in the park- whilst playing with my kids of course.

 

One area I'd like to see some more improvement on is mobility/flexibility. Long drives and a desk job has ruined my shoulder movement. And sitting on floor is hard work on lower back.

 

Hopefully catch up on the forums somewhere!

Welcome. Very cool that you are now able to play with your kids on the gym equipment. That's way more cool and fun than staring at your computer screen while they play (like most parents)

How is the progress coming along with mobility and bodyweight strength work?

Strength is coming on well. Thinking I should be putting a bit more emphasis on the mobility side of things though.

 

Weight hasn't moved much in two months since first post- perhaps up a pound or so. Been trying to eat a bit more, but not being overly scientific about it. I've a good understanding of whats good food and whats bad- so when I'm hungry or post training i'm just eating more good.
