I'm back!

 

I had a dream about you guys last night, and I realized how I've missed you. I just sort of dropped out last challenges. No excuses, just life.

I've learned a lot the past few months. I've previously mentioned "Life on Tellus". I've follwed her courses, participated in masterclasses and was active on her facebook forum. And the best part: I've succesfully implemented her techniques into my life: bye bye binges :D 

Using her techniques I've been able to actually stick to a diet I believe is healthy for me. I've also entered a Diet Bet to give myself extra motivation.

 

So here goes

 

Challenge #1: Eat 1200 kcal a day

During PMS- and sharkweek I'm allowed to add the kcal my fitbit told me I burned by walking around.

I need to keep listening to my body. If my energy gets too low, if I can't do stuff I normally could I need to re-evaluate this goal.

Challenge #2: Intermittend fasting

I start my fast after dinner, and break my fast at lunchtime.

Again: while listening to my body. I've found I can eat this way pretty much all the time and have TONS of energy, but a few days a month my body needs breakfast.

Challenge #3: Do strengt training 2/3 times a week

I've got the fitbit coach app, which gives me workouts based on my fitness level. It is really great. It never askes me to do an actual pushup for example :P;) The workouts are between 20 and 30 minutes, so easy to fit into my schedule. 

And off course: I'll listen to my body. I will skip a workout if needed

Exception: I get 1 day a week off of these goals. Just to keep my sanity. So if I really, really want icecream/fries/chocolate or other stuff that doesn't fit my kcal, I can have those that day.

Saturday 

I fasted, ate a little short of 1200 kcal and played sims2.

It was a pretty good day :D

 

My DietBet ends Friday, and I am still 0,5 kg short of hitting my goal. It is certainly doable, but I do have to hit my goals!

Sunday

Any day you can fit a pizza in your kcal allowance is a good day :D

It was a perfect lazy Sunday. I played outside with the boys, played a lot of sims and read my book.

Agreed. I ate half a pizza yesterday and was just fine. It made me realize my stomach has shrunk some, because it made me really full. Being really full was a nice change though.

I think Dutch pizza's are smaller than American ones. I ate the whole thing ;) (it was a little short of 600 kcal)

Ah, yeah.  That's a lot smaller.  I ate half a pizza, and it was 1400 calories.  It was the only thing I ate that day, so it fit within my 1600 allowance.

Wow, that is crazy. An entire dominos pizza here is around 1000 kcal... So actually we Dutch people have no excuse to be overweight :P

Monday 

I took my day off today, do no kcal counting or fasting. I chose today because it is our 10th wedding anniversary :)

We celebrated by ordering sushi (eating it at home is so much easier with small kids than going out and they love sushi too). It was delicious. 

In the evening we watched Thor:Ragnarok. What a great movie! We created the cinema experience by adding m&m's ;)

 

And I did get a workout in this morning. It was a really great day :)

This haws me curious.  I looked up the Dutch Domino menu.  The crust looks paper tin compared to ours and a ton less cheese.   I tried to find a pic to post but couldn't.  I did find this and just why?

I had that one once. That is definitely more than 1000 kcal :P And absolutely delicious :D

Tuesday 

The sharks hit me hard, but I took a couple of painkillers and went to dancehall and zumba class anyway. I'm sure I will regret this decision in the morning :P

Fasting got done, but I made bad food choices that brought me over my kcal limit. One bad choice won't ruin all the good ones I made, so I will just carry on making right choices.
