RedStone
Too late!! I wasn't planning on challenging this month due to a lack of measurable goals... but it's been an interesting, and dare I say, inspiring couple of weeks and I have some big stuff to tackle! Measurable stuff! Things are going well. I was a touch burned out after a big project at work came to a head, (it went well, just stressful) followed by a weekend of KF training out of town. I've had some deep lows, so goes the rollercoaster of life, but I'm feeling continually empowered with the direction I'm headed and I'd like to see it grow. It is spring, after all! Jeez Anna, ok, ok! So I have a blog project that's been on the back burner for awhile now (I first mentioned it here last fall) and it's time to make that biz happen. I'm being a bit of a coward about it, but have done a lot of legwork already, a skeleton of the site, and lots of post ideas written up, ready to go. Next step is just to get the dam things written! I'm keeping it simple. Write 1 blog post each week. It does not have to be published online... but I do have to send them to trusted friends for accountability, and I do have to have the blog itself set up for publication by the end of this challenge. (If anyone has suggestions for platforms, I'm all ears! I love wix, but free would be great and I'm unclear on copyright under their hosting) Also art. I need to make the art things. I've started an art thread here with @Luciana Valerosa Culming Post once a week with a new art thing. I have a running list of things I want to art, one of which are dot mandalas! Just for chilling purposes. I mean come on RedStone, Get your hippy on. So those are the things. If you're curious about the rest of my life, I'm continuing to lean in to intuitive/mindful eating more and more, and have been listening to a LOT of Maddy Moon (former fit model turned empowerment chickness). I had a sit down with a trusted MD who also practices eastern medicine about my health concerns with the movement, and am feeling better about my convictions and the directions I seem to be headed in. So far as my training schedule goes, it's hard not to be active considering work, but I typically lift 3X a week, do yoga stuff once a week, climb 1 or 2X a week, kung fu stuff 1 or 2X per week, and spin or HIIT once a week. Now that it's nice out I took a pretty hike the other day That was nice. SO.This is the plan! Write & Share 1X per week Art & Post 1X per week Ready/Publish Blog 1X Hardly. Let's do it 4 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment

I've only built 1 site with Wix so I'm no expert, but if I recall correctly, there's not a lot of good prebuilt stuff, so it can be a lot of work up front. I've used WordPress in the past and really enjoyed that they have a lot of options for prebuilt themes, so you can just choose a look you like and GO! Also I work almost exclusively on web design and development these days so if you need anything web-related, let me know! Cool challenge, good luck yo! 2 Quote Stay awhile... we're liftin' Link to comment

So excited that you're putting the wheels in motion on the blog, and for all the other good stuff in that first post! Thanks guys, this means so much to me <3 I'm seriously going to need 30 seconds made of steel to pull the trigger on this one... Found myself doing something this morning that I haven't done in awhile. I have a few art series that were done as writing and art together. In one series I worked on haiku poems while simultaneously working on small abstract painting correlating to the poems. (They were watercolors so I would write while the layers of paint dried in between.) The other one was a series of paintings of bottles that all had small narratives (like poem vignettes) as their titles. Both series were shown with writing and paintings side by side... So while I was going over my list of blog post ideas, I found myself adding notes about visual elements that spark me, and after I picked a topic for this week, started by painting, then writing, then painting, then writing. I really like the idea of these things coming together in my process and curious to see what the results of that are! Of course it's only Monday and we have a ways to go yet But optimistic! 5 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment

Yesterday was a half day at work (paid to eat pizza day!), then a train down into the city for a friends book launch. Travel took most of the day and even tho I had planned on writing on route... I mostly slept Today is an amazingly beautiful day. I'd like to go outside for awhile but am kind of tempted to go to a different town to walk around and do stuff. Or maybe walk down by the river front here and then write at the coffee shop... It might also be leg day if I'm up for something. Or possibly not we shall see lol OH last night at the event I reconnected with some amazing people i'm really happy to know. One of them connected me with a local anti-dieting coach and food freedom activist and I'm hoping to get to know her. Another girl I haven't seen in a million years got really excited when we started talking about body positive and how we've basically been on diets since we were 12 years old Very VERY cool to be able to connect with these guys! I'm happy I went and bittersweet that I couldn't stay for the after party. I miss the people in the city so much, but I love it in the mountains.
