Week 0 – Thursday

 

circuittttt, 30s for each move

straight leg toe touch

bw squats

it burnnnnnssss. took the circuit slow bc the last time they had a crazy lower body circuit like this I could barely walk for dayz.

 

SO came home! and we made the last hellofresh meal together. so much less stressful. i realized what i didn't like about the pork meal because ti was the same thing i didn't like about this meal. wayyyy too much onion. i put onion in everything but this was excessive. also finally started the amy schumer SNL from a couple weeks ago.

might I say, i'm killing zero week? i am eating around a hundred more cals per day than previous weeks but it's mostly been better stuff than chocolate from the work jar.

Week 0 – Friday

 

goblet squats, 20# for 30 reps

 

and then:

jump squats x10

modified burpees x10

bicycle crunches x10

went out bowling with a couple friends and actually learned how to bowl! made the activity much more enjoyable. then dinner at a local tavern – got a burnt ends sandwich with coleslaw and collard greens IN IT!

day off for memorial day – slept in and then did laundry and cooked up a batch of butter chicken for lunches this week. only ended up making 4 servings, oh well.

 

I did get in a workout while SO went to donate our pile of stuff and vacuum her car!

this circuit was stupidly put together. pop squats and power jacks are basically the same thing and you’re doing soooo many squat variations right after one another. then your “plank break” was way too long in the plank position.

 

we got some wedding planning done and had pizza for lunch. salad for snack. and ice cream for dinner. it was gloooorious. caught up on SNL and watched The Last Five Years, which I’ve been meaning to see for a while.

yeah definitely, i just took it easy and paced myself more than i normally would have. this is a short-term program that i'm supllementing into the tough mudder program so it'll be over soon anyway :D

yes! i enjoyed it. it was a blast and so fun to see solo and chewy's story at the beginning. haven't read any of the reviews but i remember not hearing great things. *shrug. if anyone expected it to move the plot forward then they were there for the wrong reasons

Week 1 – Tuesday

 

ran 1.5 miles; every 3 minutes do 5 Push Ups and 5 Lunges on each leg.

 

felt great about my food choices yesterday and got my lame fiber count from yesterday back up to a good avg. dinner was chicken and broccoli with one of those rice/quinoa sides. got in some yoga while SO watched dinner and then bed pretty much on time. unfortunately we haven’t put the AC in yet so all the windows were open and the dog kept barking at noises and the SO kept yelling at the dog IN HER SLEEP so I only got about 7hrs of sleep.

I ended up swapping out my snacks that I brought from home for a half of a blueberry muffin and a piece of pita bread haha – worth it.

 

cooked up a spaghetti squash in the instant pot and finally got the time right where it wasn’t a ball of mush when I took it out. topped that with a sausage, kale, tomato mixture. noms.

 

got in some yoga. I’ll have to do laundry tonight as I’m down to one sports bra and it’s not a great one for high impact stuff lolz

I had most of my own snacks at work but then the birthday celebrations for May happened and there were brownie sundaes! yes. yes, please.

 

I made beef chili for dinner with leftover spaghetti squash and the last of the baby spinach in the fridge. It was good! I added a bit of cinnamon & maple syrup to this one and I don’t think I liked it.

 

yoga happened and I also washed and dried laundry which proved unnecessary anyway since I slept in this morning :D  happy friday nerds!!
