1. Balancing Classwork

  • Hand balancing participation in the Crow PVP
  • Do 3 accessories with lifting workouts

2. Avoid the Freshman 15

  • Salad Club salads 5x per week
  • Monitor late night snacking (personally, not really in this thread)

3. Adult-ish Responsibilities

  • Keep up driving practice weekly as possible (aim for another 4 practices)
  • Clean out kitchen drawers (again)
  • Dishes 2x on weeknights (you can't cram all your dishes on SUNDAY all the time, okay?)

4. Extra Curricular Activities

  • Bonus points for running
  • Bonus points for working on the Guide to Daydrinking
  • Bonus points for signing up for an aerial arts sampler class
  • Bonus points for going to the ninja gym

IT IS ZERO WEEK, MY FRIENDS!

 

Monday night: I went to gymnastics practice. My shoulder did not bother me except for during one very aggressive arm circle. So, that was great! Woo! 

 

Tuesday: I'm currently in the midst of max testing to wrap up the lifting program I've been following. I did a sumo max out attempt last week for 300#. I went for back squat and overhead press maxes last night. For back squat, I warmed up with 135 x 5, 165 x 5, 185 x 3, 215 x 3, 245 x2, I think. It definitely took until the 245# set for my body to feel warmed up. My hips and the like were just feeling a bit tight in general. However, the heavy singles were good! I did 265# easily, went up to 275# (which was my goal weight to hit) and it was kind of sloppy, but still got up. Added five more pounds for 280. :) Pretty happy with that.

For OHP, I tried 98.5 - failed. Then tried ~97 and barely eked it out. For a 2# increase in my max. :P Yay micro-plates, boo overhead press.

Then, I met up with two friends for FOOD-THEMED trivia at a local brewery. Which uh, duh, we totally won. Can't everything just be food themed all the time? Obviously, we had to celebrate our winning $25 by spending much more than that at the bar. So I got home pretty late and conked out.

 

My goals are not yet in play except for the fact that I will be participating in the crowwww PVP and trying to fit in a driving practice on Saturday.

Ahaha! Good to know! I think my friend gave me 3 of his... tinglers a couple of years ago for Christmas. We may have done a read-aloud, but I am always happen to listen to more insanity. :D 

 

Last bit of Zero Week Plan:

Thursday - Gymnastics practice, making sure not to do tooo much bars/upper body as to not interfere too much with my bench max test

Friday - Bench testing and maybe just suck it up and try a conventional deadlift max test as well (I am not optimistic about this)

Saturday - Gymnastics practice, driving practice, drinking practice?

Sunday - maybe go to Portland?! if not go to a cookout

Monday -  maybe in Portland?! maybe at a cookout
