Yes, it's nice of them to do that :)  (And while it might look like there is red wine in those glasses, it's actually just black currant juice ;))

Curry chicken lasagna

I didn't even know this was a thing. How is the chicken between the lasagna? (Slices, small bits, average bits?)

Legally bound to hug people in need.

Living life as a Druid is about walking with the beasts. It's about being scared, looking your fears in the eyes and going on anyway. Dread doesn't go away, you just learn to know it. It's still a beast, it still has fangs, but you walk among it.

Neither did I. Had never heard of it before. But it was pretty good :)  It looked like rotisserie chicken shredded in to pretty small pieces

Thanks. I'll have to try that sometime. Should be tasty enough with the good mix of curry (a rather strong chilli peppered one), a good creamy component and some basil. :)

It sounds like your wife had a very easy birth, and Selda is such a perfect little example of a healthy newborn baby! (Except for those little hands, lol. Get that poor child some lotion or something!) I hope that she continues to be an easy baby to care for, and doesn't disrupt your lives too much. (Only in good ways!)

I could have sampled/eaten all-the-things, like I have a tendency to do when I'm spending the night somewhere else and there is a big breakfast buffet. But I didn't! #selfcontrol

That's actually kind of a big deal! Noticeable progress is great. :)

Had the funniest win during my workout today :D When jumping/dancing/running around I could feel my boobs bounce Rolling on the Floor Laughing

I bet all you girls know exactly how that feels, but I've never felt that before. I've always been skinny, so no man boobs, and never had any breast muscles. Lately however, I've been noticing in the mirror that my pecs have grown the tiniest bit (and/or gained some fat) and today they actually were big enough to bounce when I jumped :D Yay!

Protein pancakes with cream cheese and strawberry jam, plus peanut butter and bananas

Had some low-fat cream cheese in the fridge that needed using up, so I thought about what to use it for. After some thinking I remembered that I like it as a topping for pancakes with (no suggar) strawberry jam. So that's what I made for breakfast today. And I was also craving the peanut butter + banana combo, so on some of the pancakes that's what I had as my topping.

Lunch - 15:40

Rice pudding with sugar, cinnamon and butter

In addition to what's on the photo I also had a small piece of crispbread with butter and cheese, and then another serving of rice pudding. Last time I had rice pudding I tried it with a knob of butter on top, and it was really tasty! So today I suggested that the rest of my family tried that as well, and they all loved it :)

Will do my first one tomorrow :D

Still waiting for the 3kg of rice, but I just found another pack of it. I've got a real minimalistic recipe without a lot of veggies so I will add some.

Link to comment

I've tried different combinations of turnips, Jerusalem artichokes, Swiss chard (white/green), carrots, zucchini and broccoli. All combinations have been good, but the best veggies, IMO, have been the turnips and the chard (both the stem and the leaves). And I use fresh ginger that I chop in small pieces instead of grating. I love when I happen to bite in to a piece of ginger. Such a bright zing of taste :)

Sounds good.

My recipe says:

- 1 cup yellow mung beans
- 1 cup rice
- 4 cm ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 tbsp unsweetened grated coconut
- 1 handful fresh coriander, chopped
- 1/2 cup of water
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 cups of water

And I have some pak choi, potato, zucchini left.

That's a lot of ginger! My recipe says 1.5 cm... And thanks for reminding me about the coriander. I actually added that to my first batch, even though it's not part of my recipe, but then I forgot about it for my second and third. Will have to try to remember to add it to my bowl next time. And no grated coconut in my recipe, but I use coconut oil, so I get some of that coconut fat anyway Thumbs Up
