Stop trying to bait each other with these puns.  I mean, just because Wolf is a good chum of ours, doesn't mean we should stuff him to the gills with puns.   I mean, I love puns, so I normally endorsel them, but maybe we should just FINish this off here before it gets out of hand.

Yeah, we wouldn't it to get gnashty up in here, now would we? With so many shark puns, it could be a reel feeding frenzy.

Pfft... Water you talking about? I think we've already gone off the deep end here. Shore, we could stop, but where's the fun in that?

Gratuitous show off video from 3 years ago.

Starpucks are no longer capable of this feat.

... for now.

Oddly enough- the strength wasn't the trouble for me this time I tried it.  It was the coordination lolololol!

Giiiirl, you got some nice calves on ya! But I'm also impressed by the tricking :D.  You'll get back to that point one day soon. Like you said, "... for now."

Soooo...that means you just need to film another video to show off your coordination ;). Also, congratz on being the image/vid that shows up for my thread on Tapatalk! Woot woot!

I may be out of shark puns, but what about shark jokes?

"I was at the beach today when I saw a man in the sea yelling “Help, shark! Help!” – I just laughed. I knew that shark wasn’t going to help him."

"What hobby does a shark like best? Anything they can sink their teeth into."

"What do you get when you cross a shark and a snowman? Frostbite"

HA!

What if for every 10 pull-up; strict, chin-up, negative, ring, band assisted, jumping, 10 second hold, it was worth 1 point or something like that? That way, you take away the level of pull-up strength, and just make it a numbers game. Not sure how full-proof that is, but, maybe it could work?

We spent far too much time fretting about how to make this work but I think you have the same kind of idea. It doesn't need to be fool proof. Just simple, accessible, competitive and fun :)

I was reading in your thread and this seems to be the general consensus about the PvP; which 100% works for me :D.

Challenge Update:

Goal 1: How Fast is a Great White?

No swimming yet this week. I'm waiting to get my swim cap in tomorrow to hold in my gorgeous locks. It'll make the whole act of swimming SO MUCH EASIER. I'm going to try one of the pool workouts @Elastigirl posted when I get the chance. And I'm finagling with the idea of using my 10# mace in the pool somehow. We'll see how that pans out. I'll also test my lung capacity to see how long I can hold my breath because I just recently added that to the goal. We'll see if I can beat that goal by the end of the challenge ;).

Goal 2: Eat Like a Great White (or Megaladon)

I was 187 this morning, so, I'm maintaining the 185-187 weight at the moment. I didn't eat a whole lot yesterday: 4x hard boiled eggs and then had some chicken mole last night for dinner. OMG! It was sooooooooooo good! It was just as good (though maybe not better) than @Tanktimus the Encourager version we had a couple weeks ago. It had good heat, taste and overall fulfillingness that I had to restrain myself. I almost ate 2 bowls of it, lol. Heather did a great job with everything and I'm excited about the leftovers today! I truly think I can hit in the 190's by the time this challenge ends. Before pics will be taken and posted before week 1 begins. You're welcome, @Sloth the Enduring ;).

Goal 3: What Waits in the Shallows?

No writing yet, but I'll have something up this weekend. I'm still working through how I want to start the story. I'm going to base it off the game Depth that I mentioned in my first post, where a group of treasure hunters (divers) will end up having to battle/survive a pair of great whites. That's ALL the spoilers I'm giving you, though ;).

Goal 4: Swimming is ALL about Pulling

I didn't do any GtG pull-ups yesterday. Honestly, it didn't even register to do any. Whoops! I'll start on that this evening and then once the PvP starts, there's no turning back at that point. I'll be in it 100%!

We're heading over my moms tonight for my sisters belated birthday dinner. So, free dinner tonight, woot woot! We have Jamison until tomorrow, so I'm trying to spend as much time with him as possible. He's a good little boy. It was cool to have Heather come up with all the boys yesterday for lunch. I did have one awkward moment right before they left. One lady asked who Jamison was when I was holding him. I simply just said that he was my son and left it at that. I forget not everyone knows about Jamison and that situation, which is fine, it's not really their business. But that would make things awkward if I really did explain it. "Oh him? That's just my 14-month old son I had from and affair with a lady that used to work here. And this is my loving wife whom decided to work on things with me despite my infidelity."

So, anyways...

Today's going to be a good day. Happy Hump Day guys and gals!

Admittedly most of the discussion has been on the super secret facebook chat. At least until @Mr_Willes popped up and distracted us all with soft porn.

I could do this in a Saturday night ;) Although probably not quite the effect you are looking for! I've always wanted to try molle but I've never gotten round attempting to make it!

I can't lie and say I'm a bit jealous about not being included on the chat...especially if Willes is pushing the envelope with soft porn lol! As long as it gets worked out, I'm cool. Just let me know how I can help :).

I still want to try and make the mole sauce fresh one time, but it is quite yummy store bought, too! It's going to become a staple in our home for sure :D.

LOL! That one was my favorite! I laughed good on it too ;). And the mole turned out really good! I'm reaaaaallly looking forward to eating it for leftovers. I may even have to pace myself, hahaha!

Good job on the Mole. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though if you are trying to GAIN weight I fail to see why you didn't have that second bowl.

That was my exact thought...but I didn't want to stuff myself, making it difficult to perform husbandly duties later on. I've done that before and cramped up in the middle cuz my food hadn't settled, lol. TMI? Welcome to my challenge!

I just thought of something...I may not do 2 great whites for my story. I may opt for the aggressive oceanic whitetip because of it's infamous history killing many ship wrecked survivors. And, it's no small shark, either. it can get up to 13 feet long and weight close to 400#! Also....they just recently added this shark to the game Depth. I've been watching game play on it and it looks wicked!

I'm tempted to try some kind of pool workout... although lately I've been getting home too late to get in the pool. The mosquitos come out around 7pm.

That mole sounds amazing!!!

Fun fact: Mosquitoes love me. Fun fact #2: I HATE mosquitoes. I understand why you wouldn't want to mess with a pool workout because of those blood-sucking bastards.

We actually had some more leftover mole, so I brought that today for lunch! I'm excited ;)

Yesterday was a good day. Spent some time with my family for my sisters b-day dinner. We had spaghetti. I also at a good sized side salad. Even though you're not supposed to weight yourself at the end of the day and count it, I did anyways: 192#. WOOT WOOT! Granted, I was 5# lighter this morning, I still like seeing that 190+ on the scale. I think if I was lifting heavier I could possible hit 200 at some point this year!

Swim cap comes in today, so, I'll hit up a swim workout tomorrow or Saturday morning. Jamison leaves tonight and the other boys are staying at Heather's parents, which means an evening with Heather all to myself! YAY! She has a Lularoe sale tomorrow and it's easier to NOT have the boys with her and it keeps her from having to take me to work...which would mean we get the boys up at 6am to go with. It's just easier on everyone.

Saturday is a busy day. We're going to a DoTerra workshop during the afternoon, church that evening and then some quality time with the wolfpack afterwards. And then Sunday...

I'm going to see it with my dad and brother. YUSSSSSSSSSSSS! So. Much. Excite.

I've been doing some research as I'm coming to a point to start writing this shark thriller short story. I've been looking at wreck diving or penetration diving for you dirty mofo's, thinking that's the route I want to go for the set-up. Since I'm loosely basing it off of the game, Depth, I like the idea of a group of friends exploring some sunken wreckage and encountering some hungry sharks that makes their fun-filled times a little scarier and a lot more bloody. As much as I fear sharks, I think wreck diving would be a blast. Given the correct training and whatnot (and funds $$$), I think I would like to do that one day. Though, I would be the dude trying to carry a bang stick down with me as a "just in case".

Goals are going swell so far though. I'm about to break my fast with some hard boiled eggs cuz I'm HUNGRAY!

Okay, so I'm stalking, but not commenting in here.

First of all, I <3 shark books and movies! Actually, I have a love of cheesy sci-fi (ScyFy) movies that involve killer animals regardless of how bad they are. 3-Headed Shark Attack for the win! And I cannot wait for Meg to come out! SO EXCITED!

There is a fun little series that is available via Kindle that is sometimes available for free (link here). I wouldn't pay for it, but if you keep an eye on it, they'll run specials. :)

YUS! I love like minded shark lovers! There's so many campy syfy shark movies out there! When they do marathons of those things, I tend to watch them just for the hell of it, lol. I haven't seen the one with a three-headed shark, though lol. There's this book called, "Motherfu**ing Sharks" about sharks that come up from the ground like the movie Tremors.

Spoiler

Image result for motherfucking sharks

I would read it. Plus, the title! I feel like Samuel L Jackson should narrate the audible lol!

I'll definitely check out that book series, cuz, duh! Sharks. 'Nuff said ;). Thanks for the suggestion, Sylvaa! And I'm excited to discuss Meg with you :D! I'll bite my tongue until you've seen it cuz I don't want to ruin anything. Did you read the book series? Spoiler below if you haven't read it.

Spoiler

I really hope they add how the shark dies from how she died in the books because that was just fantastic and so outrageous you couldn't NOT love it, ya know?! Who the heck pilots their mini-sub into the Meg and then somehow work your way out of the stomach, into the heart chamber and tear out the Megs heart?? Jonas "Effin" Taylor, that's who. I heard one review that the movie is exactly what you'd want it to be. Just good old fashion fun and entertaining. Sign me up ;)

Today's been hella busy, guys. We still have Jamison because his mom has bronchitis. Sucks for her-works for me. I get to spend more time with him :). We are probably NOT going out to the doTerra thing tomorrow since the drive is over an hour and we don't want to be running around ALL DAY. AND, I didn't workout this morning thinking I could after work while Heather was doing her Lularoe sale, but we ended up keeping Jamison. That just means I'm getting up tomorrow to go swim and break in the new goggles and swim cap. Pics to come soon along with before pics.

Saw this. Thought it was funny. Had to post it.

I totally did read the first one! I've been focusing on book club books over "fun stuff" this summer though as some of these haven't been available at the library. :(

PSA - SyFy is doing a shark movie marathon today leading up to Deep Blue Sea 2. Jersey Shore Shark Attack was on earlier and I am pretty sure it is my new favorite cheesy shark movie.
