UserScript: Reset all quests

Recommended Posts

I've had a few requests to make it possible to reset all completed quests

(When doing a Reset you might want to start all over with all your quests as well)

So I started working on a script that does just that :)

But I'd like some help with testing it :)

Any volunteers?

Be aware that this will clear your current progress, and there is no way to undo that. That's one of the reasons I'd like someone else to test this as well as me!

Still not tested by anyone else but me, but from my limited testing it seems to work alright :)

Install from here: https://openuserjs.org/scripts/tlundberg/Nerd_Fitness_Reset_quests

To find the reset button you must first click on the small "show" button just below the quests category selector (see screenshot below)

After clicking the "Reset all quests" button, and then "OK" in the confirmation dialog it will look as if nothing i happening. But please just be patient and wait. After 10 - 30 seconds the page should reload and all quests should be marked uncompleted.

I will add some kind of progress indicator, but that will be in a future update :)

Found a nice guy in the NF Facebook group that agreed to test the script for me. And it worked! :) So now that it's not just me that it works for I decided to flesh it out a little bit!

You now get a dialog that gives you more control over exactly what quests to reset. Please let me know if you can think of any more options that you'd want to see here.

Also added a "please wait" message that is shown while the script does its thing :) No proper progress report yet though. Will look in to that later!

Here's the installation link again. This is where you can always find the latest version. https://openuserjs.org/scripts/tlundberg/Nerd_Fitness_Reset_quests

And as I said above - please let me know if you have any other ideas about what you want this script to do!

TL;DR New installation link https://openuserjs.org/scripts/tlundberg/Nerd_Fitness_Quests_bulk_actions

Decided to rename it "Bulk Actions" instead of "Reset" since it does both completed status and starred status.

Let me know if you can think of any other bulk actions you might find useful!

I also decided to remove the final confirmation dialog. Since you already have to click twice (first the radio button, and then the "Continue" button) I think that's safe enough.

So this is what you can expect it to look like now

Since I renamed it, there is a new installation link. Automatic updates will not work. Remove the old script first.

This is the new link to use for version 0.4: https://openuserjs.org/scripts/tlundberg/Nerd_Fitness_Quests_bulk_actions

Chrome's great. First you need to install the Tampermonkey extension from the Chrome Web Store. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tampermonkey/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo

Then you just go to the user script page for my script: https://openuserjs.org/scripts/tlundberg/Nerd_Fitness_Quests_bulk_actions

Click on the blue "Install" button and you should be good to go :)

Let me know if you need further help

Can verify that I've been able to uncheck all (as far as I can tell) and I still have 35 XP. I even went in and maximized webpages in Chrome properties, but the My Quests page only shows a few and then I still have to scroll to get more.
