BShank Finally Jumping In

Recommended Posts

Hi! I am new to Nerd Fitness. I am 30 years old. I am the mother of a handsome and busy one year old, the wife of a gamer, and an avid reader. I have always loved sports but as an adult I have found it a lot harder to maintain an active lifestyle. I heard about NF through my friend that I have been working out with the past couple of months, but my family just moved halfway across the country and I started a new full-time job after being a stay a home mom for a year, so I needed additional motivation and accountability.

My first goal is to take a closer look and decide on a specific, measurable larger goal for my life. (I have been saying I was going to do this for the past 2 weeks but have been putting it off, so I decided I had better just get started posting.)

Smaller Goals

1. Do an Angry Birds workout 3 times a week

2. At dinner, focus on serving sizes - read the labels and eat accordingly

3. Plan and Do an activity/date with my husband once a week

I'll go by Halfling. Well, I got my pull up bar put together and set up, and I have done 3 work outs this week ( Not as intense as I'd like, but I need to get the habbit started again, so small step forward!)

Nicely done! Yes, you definitely don't want to overdo it. :D I often dream of learning to do a pull-up, but unfortunately, I can't install a bar in the flat we're renting.

My far, overreaching goal changes depending on what day of the week it is :D
