Blocky does the Food, Supplements and Abz challenge...

Recommended Posts

Little_Blockies_Lineup.jpg

It's time for me to do all the stuff that I usually forget about or just hate doing... mostly, food, supplements and abz.

Goals:

Strength Goal: Just doing the usual... +1 STR for any PR and +1 STR for every 4 rep PRs.

Constitution Goal: More conditioning. +1 CON for hitting 30/35 days.

Dexterity Goal: I'm rolling over the hackysacking into this challenge, but I'll track total time, not days. So, +1 DEX for every 30 mins achieved.

Intelligence Goal: Russian again. +1 INT for every extra hour done, not including the lessons OR the pre-lesson cramming.

Wisdom Goal: Food and Supplements... I'm still working on figuring out a system of tracking.

Charisma Goal: This will be for abs - 4 sessions a week... +1 CHA for every week done.

That is all....

CHA: Abs done.

This is so smart. I should totes try this someday. At the end of lifting, it's so easy to say "nope, don't have it in me, I'll get it next time."  At least, that's what I do. Every Time.

Yeah... I was still doing the conditioning but it was trade off - either I lift a bit easier and hit the conditioning hard OR lift hard and phone in the conditioning...

To be fair, it was also winter here and I found it hard to get motivated in the morning. It's getting warmer now so it shouldn't be an issue.

I used this somewhere else but it still seems appropriate....

Week 1 - Wed 12 Sep

STR: Max Effort Upper.

- Closegrip Bench: Bumped my 1RM up by 2.5kg. Yay.

- Bench vs 18kg chains: 8s at 75kg + chains.

- Pendlay Row: 5s up to 85kg.

- DB Bench: I only have 20kg DBs... 3 sets of 20, 18, 16 reps.

- Skullcrushers: 8s at 25kg... I have found a legit weak point in my game. I have been neglecting to do any tricep work with the tricep in a semi stretched position (ie: overhead extensions or skullcrushers). Will have to step this up.

CON: Ugh... 150 reps of Leg Press at 150kg in 17:30. That's 1:30 faster than 4 weeks ago.

DEX: Got a legit 17 mins!

INT: No Russian today... yet.

WIS: Still haven't worked out how to score this yet. But I'm on track with supps.

CHA: Dang it... I forgot to my abs... I will get them done before bed..

Yes... This...

Seriously though... my left knee has fuck all meniscus left in it and is pretty much a bone-on-bone situation... the continuous pounding of running is unhelpful and painful. I will sometimes run a little when I'm cutting, but it's only 3 or 4 weeks until my knee is the size of a pumpkin...

It's not so much a fail as it is a late challenge break. Heal yourself. Restart the challenge when you are ready.

What he said, or adapt and set new goals. An injury isn't failure.

What other things do you want to accomplish? That don't involve your adductor.
