GK debases himself yet further

Recommended Posts

The last challenge went well and I made good progress. This challenge is more of the same for the most part, but with some additions. And they are not nice additions. One will need me to abandon all reason and principles. Here we go...

Overall Goal - get to 115kg or under and stay under.
I finished the last challenge at 118.9kg (262lbs). Getting down to 115kg (253.5lbs) seems the next logical step.

Physical
1 - Go to the gym at least 3 times a week. As per the last challenge.
2 - 1 day of cardio a week. Again, as per the last challenge.
BONUS LEVEL! Do a 4th day a week. Not always possible but when it is, an extra day of (most likely) cardio will be added.
SUPER BONUS LEVEL! Burpees. Not sure how many sets, how many reps. Just have to do them, Once a week. I feel sick already.

Mental
1 - No chocolate bars, fizzy pop or takeaways. Another carryover from the last challenge and the most important one I think. Avoiding these has really helped.
2 - alcohol only at weekends. One of the easier ones for me, but serves as a reminder in case I have a bad day at work.
3 - continue to track calories.
BONUS LEVEL!
Meditation. I enjoy it when I do it. Must get back into it.
SUPER BONUS LEVEL! Burpees. Yeah, I know I already have this listed but we all know this will be as much a mental battle as it will be a physical one. Still feeling sick thinking about it.

We should all be happy that Thanos didn't use the gauntlet to make everyone do Burpees.

Would that also qualify for halving the population?

Yes, although we'd be lucky if it stayed at a half.

Seriously though, that has properly drained me. The morning will be... difficult.

Somewhat frustratingly I've only lost 0.1kg from last week. I know there's a hundred reasons why the scale hasn't budged much even though I've been doing the right things, but even so...

...no, no, this is no time for sulking. I've been doing well and this is still progress.

There, fixed that for you.

You're doing burpees. You have automatic bragging rights.

*Before Gym*
Other Half: be,careful, take it easy.
Me: yeah, of course, don't worry
What Other Half meant: be careful, take it easy.
What I meant: i can't be bothered to walk around looking for the weights I need, I'll just add 5kg to all of my lifts.

*After Gym*
Other half: how was it?
Me: it was good.
What I meant: I should not have added 5kg to all of my lifts

Lol. Sorry to disappoint, but it had less to do with the intensity of the run and more me planning poorly. i.e. heavier than intended squat/front squat Friday, fall asleep too early to eat sufficiently, then run fasted (which is a recent change), and then spend 15min kneeling over the pool pulling pine needles from the still-running vacuum because too lazy to go turn off the pump and it has to stay under water.

BUT YOU RAN!

Also, running fasted if you're not used to it is a bitch.
