CM and the Veritable Smorgasbords

Recommended Posts

QBcSXx.gif

Apple picking, ren fairs, cabin trips, oh my! Apparently we did a FAIR job at planning a smorgasbord of autumnal events this season. There will be lots of sticky foods in my future.

Challenge goals:

Complete the Self Fall Fitness Challenge: get in 5 workouts per week

go on a 5 min walk once per week; plan out a day by Tuesday based on weather

track restaurant food; I feel better when I eat out less than 3x per week. Plan out weekend food and grocery list before Friday night.

track yoga; I feel better when I get at least 50mins/week

this is my template for meal planning:

Meal Sat Sun   Meal prep recipes
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner

let's do this!

Oh man! What a fun fall! How do you guys plan these things? Do you sit down with a calendar one night and just be like, yo, this is going down! We always say, oh I want to do this thing blah blah blah but the season comes and goes, it's so sad!!! Teach me your ways master...

this year it was pretty much coincidence!

  1. a small group of friends usually camp at Acadia Nat'l Park on Indigenous People's Day weekend but bc of the packed and expensive summer for so many of us, we decided somewhere closer and cheaper - campfire space was a must on our airbnb search
  2. we saw SO's brother and sis-in-law at their baby shower in august and they've recently got a new house in (around?) Albany so we knew we needed to go see them. planning out from that time meant end of september which equated to let's go apple picking!
  3. just a weekend or two ago SO's mom asked if we wanted to go to the ren faire this year and we haven't been in a few years and she happened to want to go on a saturday we were free!
  4. oktoberfest, which was last weekend should also be included on here and ever since going for the 1st time a couple yrs ago we have to each year now lol

60 mtn climbers

40 bw squats

40 DB step ups

4 squat jumps (these hurt my knee so switched it up)

60 high knees

after work I started a spaghetti squash dish, folded laundry, finished dinner then ate it. unfortunately folding laundry meant I didn’t release the pressure soon enough and the squash was overcooked.

I can't speak for CM, but our planning is usually, "Hey, lets do this. Ok. When? Well, we have this weekend free..." and so on until we realize were scheduled out past thanksgiving.

Sticky foods are the best foods!

Also a bit envious of your planning skillz. Hubs and I do events using the RedStone method. We have lots of conversations along the general structure of "oh, the elderberry festival was last weekend. We meant to go to that ..." :(

Mrs Blocky and I take it a step further... "Hey look! There's an exciting thing coming up that we are definitely NOT going to attend... let's watch netflix..."

Same bro. Next free weekend is November and there's only 1. December is already being scheduled into.

I just closed out my November calendar this morning. I'm officially booked to the middle of December.

Also, Joint calendars are the best. I even share out one of my calendars with my gaming group so we can schedule around my army shit.

love simple and easy! my new program is more cardio/hypertrophy and I love how quick it's going. (2 days quick, 1 day longer BB work)

although you lost me a little when it said to do it 7 times ;)

i'm pretty sure it took less than 15 minutes even with 7 rounds! these workouts are great when SO is away and i have a bit extra housework on my plate

Up the weights even a little bit can almost turn this into a HIIT workout if you keep the rest or nonexistent..

Also, FIFY
