Sorry bout the continued running bit, but I mean, I guess what did I expect following this dude who is training for a marathon. :rolleyes:

It's probably the only runs worth following. 

I mean, don't yuck a yum, but still...

 

Weekend update.

 

Saturday:

RUN

Time and distance PR (Not stopping timer at stop lights like older long runs)

 

Sunday:

BB Row / Bench press

Lat Pulldown /DB Press

Incline DB chest Fly / Incline DB Rear Delt Fly

Cable Crossover (midline) / Cable Lateral Raise

DB Shrug / Straight Arm Dip (way harder than you would think for just an active hang control)

Standing Calf Raise / DB Wrist Curls

 

I skipped a couple supersets (bi's/tri's) because while bench felt good shoulder is still a little tender and weighted lunges / squat holds because I learned I don't need to overdo my legs with all the running I'm doing. I'm still doing squats and lunges, but after last tuesday where I did lower body HIIT AND running I'm being a little gentler on my body parts.

 

Monday:

grimble's daycare was closed, so we had another day together and it was excellent. It was also a rest day so no stress.

 

Intake confirmation saturday about my therapy stuff, just waiting to get the call from a local therapist.

 

Finished my modules, so that's great, but I've only got a week left on the challenge and i'm still diving too deep on running training, (plus work stuff I guess) to take the time to study for the certification exam that I have to pass first try. So I'm taking that off the list for the last week. 

 

Heading to the finish line. Wanna finish strong as I can.

Did not run faster, route surprised me with a significant uphill of about 300 ft over a half mile. Definitely need to do more hill work. Still a good run. Had TWO negative splits, which is a first.

Thursday was fun. Did an upper body workout that was kinda beast.

 

Pyramid workout. 4 exercises, starting at 20 reps (per side), then 15, 10, and 5 for time. After completing all 4 exercises for the rx reps, run a lap and 20 crunches.

 

KB Complex: KB Swing to Clean to Thruster to Lunge to Turkish Getup and back to start.

Resistance Band Cross body Chops

DB Lateral Lunge with OH front rais (palms facing)

Spiderman Pushups

Completed 20 rep circuit, and got all the way to rep 10 on the 15 rep circuit of the last exercise before time was called.

 

Then I went and ran an easy two mile with grimble

No pics, halloween party got rained out. Stupid climate change. Outfit got soaked, makeup ran. I ended up washing it all off within the first hour.

Rain continued Saturday, so I did not run or go back to disneyland. Then Mrs Grumble got bit by our cat when a pitbull got into our house sat night, so sunday was spent spoiling  taking care of the wife and no workout.

 

Wrap up.

Outside of this weekend, I was 100% on the runs, including the run club on Wednesday nights. - A

Don't have an actual therapist yet, but finally on the right path. - B+

 

Retrieve the Animus Bell

All modules completed, test not yet scheduled. Waiting til I hit a point that I'm not being subverted by studying running and can work on the existing knowledge I have without trying to balance things. I'm very much a deep dive kind of nerd. - B+
