Terah Posted October 23, 2018 Author Report Share Posted October 23, 2018 Monday - Tuesday My asthma was giving me trouble again. I've been off medication for about 5 years, but sometimes it flares up again. I had cut out eggs of my diet, as they are usually the ones that trigger it. It got a little better, but not a lot. I already drank no milk (I don't like the taste and it triggers asthma), so I started taking out nuts to see if it got better. I love nuts and nut butters, so that wasn't fun. And it didn't help one bit. Then I remembered: when I did intermittent fasting my asthma got way better. So I've introduced IF again: I eat a large lunch and a large dinner and nothing else (by my estimation I get around 1800/2000 kcal, which is a good amount for me). I started yesterday and I feel my lungs clear up already After my last post I also introduced yoga*. I do a short session right when I wake up. It feels great, and I hadn't realized how tight my shoulders were, they feel so much better now! Also I've been contacted by a wholesale company that wants to buy the products I make! We're in the final stages of the negotiations and it's looking really good. I'm so excited! Terah Posted October 24, 2018 Author Report Share Posted October 24, 2018 Wednesday More emailing between me and the wholesale company, lots of playing with the boys (me and J crushed A in the game stratego). I also made some pumpkin soup for lunch time. Unfortunately the boys like it too, less for me :p I went to urban fit and yoga class and I CRUSHED IT. Being able to breathe more deeply really helps during exercise The fasting also feels really good. I feel empty during the morning, but not hungry if that makes sense. And I have tons of energy. The only thing is that the big meals are making me gassy. But Saturday I was hungry again in the morning, so I decided to have breakfast. My asthma hasn't flared up again, so maybe those few days were all I needed I'm working on their first order now! I'm almost done and will send it to the wholesale company tomorrow. I've been listening to the audio book "intuitive eating" and I'm starting to remember how it works. I think it's the path for me now. I've been in the restriction/binge cycle for too long, now I'm going to break free I skipped zumba and dancehall class today. It's raining cats a d dogs, and it's a 15 minute bike ride from here. Also sharks have arrived and I wanted to work some more since I don't have a lot of time tomorrow. Terah Posted November 1, 2018 Author Report Share Posted November 1, 2018 Wednesday I managed to finish the order before I had to go do my work as a class chaperone! I had everything in nice looking packages and wanted to print out the label when my printer decided to do origami with the label instead of printing it out. I couldn't get it out But I packed up everything and when the boys were at their sports club that afternoon I went to the library next to that and managed to print it there *sigh of relieve* and could deliver the package to the post office (which is in a sewing shop, the irony :p ) and get back in time to see my boys have fun at their sports club. After that we went to the library together to find some books for them to read, and off we went to the J's speech therapy. When we got home I was so tired and wanted to order in. But I sucked it up and made dinner anyway. The rest of the evening I lay on the couch watching netflix. Terah Posted November 6, 2018 Author Report Share Posted November 6, 2018 I've been working on Intuitive Eating in this group Ensi created: It's really helping me to break free of the eternal diet cycle I've been in for so long. Come on by and take a look if you're interested Wednesday No more pain, but I took it slow and skipped urban fit and yoga class. Thursday - Friday Not much to report. Saturday I went shopping with my mom. She spoiled me silly, treated me to lovely food and I got new clothes I love (I usually buy new clothes second hand or from China, so it's really nice to have some high quality new clothes <3 ). We went to Den Bosh, which is a 30 minute train ride from home. As you know I get motion sick really quickly, but those 30 minutes are manageable. The ride to this city went smoothly, but the ride back was hell. A train broke the power lines and we had to take a detour. First we stood on a freezing train station for an hour, and then we had to take 3(!) different trains to get me home. It took 1,5 hours. Which is waaaay too long for me to be in a train. When I heard this I totally panicked, but luckily my mom agreed to take me all the way home. And my dad agreed to pick her up at my home so she didn't have to ride the train back to her home. Sunday I was still sick from the train ride the day before. I had some good moments in which I could play with the boys. But most of the day was spent on the couch or in bed. Bright side: I did finish watching the 3rd season of Daredevil Monday I felt a lot better and resumed my normal schedule. I did get a little sick at the end of the afternoon, but it didn't last long. I was truely eating intuitively and I was surprised by the feeling of satisfaction after having eaten some stuff that weren't the healthiest choices. Usually I would overdo it on stuff like that because of the feeling that I would never allow myself to have them again. But today I stopped when I was satisfied, not full Thursday Which is today, and it's only morning For some reason I felt terrible about myself this morning. I felt too fat, and I got it i to my head that I needed to fast for a long time to cure this. I realized that this wasn't healthy thinking so I started watching Jen Brett on YouTube. If you don't follow here, do it now! She's amazing. This caused me to eat too much food that I always labeled as "bad". I felt like I couldn't stop after just one stroopwafel for example, even though I wasn't hungry or anything. I just wanted to eat my feelings. I ended the day with a short yoga practice (I love yoga with Adrien!) which made me sleep really good. And this morning I woke up happy again.
