Monday - Tuesday 

Still feeling amazing :D

The wholesale company I talked about before LOVED the test products I send them and I already have two big orders from them. The stuff I make is really going to go to brick and mortar stores! 

 

We started a new routine with dancehall class. It's so hard, but I love it!

Thanks! I make cloth diapers, cloth sanitary napkins, baby carriers and niw for the mortar and brick stores I'm also making make up removal cloth thingies. This is my website

Wednesday 

I was very hungry this morning. I had my usual breakfast (musesli with a banana(1)), but was still hungry so I had a banana (2) with some nuts. That really hit the spot. I did some work and at 10 I was really hungry again so I had a muesli bar. But I was still hungry so I had some knäckebröd with almond butter, banana (3) and cinnamon. 

And after having lunch, another snack and dinner, I just made a bow with quark, a banana(4) and some honey. 

Now I'm all out of bananas... 

 

 

I'm often hungry on Wednesdays, because of the two hours of dancing on Tuesday evenings. But usually I try to ignore the hunger and just push trough. Turns out that by honoring my hunger I get tons of energy (normally I have to force myself to get stuff done). I had another workout this evening (urban fit, with weights and a step bench and such) and I could lift the weights so much easier! And I could keep up with the class so much better! 

 

Under eating causes lack of energy, but I think over eating or binge eating does too. I never had this kind of energy after a binge... 

I must be doing something right :D

Try to remember this in the future, as well! I often feel hungrier the day after working out, too :D Having an evening snack with carbs (oatmeal, fruit, sweet potato etc.) helps to recover during the night. It's great to hear you're seeing benefits like this already :) Keep going!

Thursday 

I was really craving bananas this morning, but there were non in the house so I had to settle for different food. It didn't taste that good, but it filled me up and gave me energy. 

After my shift at the school, right before lunch, I had the chance to hit the supermarket so I bought all the bananas. When I got home I took a bite and they tastes gross! They weren't as ripe as I like, but it was more than that. 

 

I was hungry, so I ate lunch. It wasn't bad, but not great like it was all days last week. After that the entire afternoon even the tought of food discusted me. I don't know what it was. 

For dinner I had a salad, because greens are good, and it had couscous and other good stuff in it to make it a meal. It filled me up, but didn't taste that good. 

Then there was The Ice cream (soy, because diary upsets my stomach) and for the first time today I liked the taste of what I ate. 

And I just enjoyed myself profoundly until the tub was empty :D

It made me sleepy and let me to doubt the whole intuitive eating thing I'm doing. 

But I am going to go through with it, because most days it feels really good. I just had a slightly bad day. Well, not bad perse, but weird. Yes, let's call it weird.

The last day of the challenge. Time for 

THE SUMMARY

Eat clean, listen to my body. 

So little to no processed foods, make as much as I can at home. Eat when I'm hungry, stop when I'm full. 

Thanks to Ensi I started intuitive eating again. And I am proud to say that most of the time I eat when hungry and stop when satisfied (not full). I pay attention to which foods make me feel good, but don't panic if I want a cookie (or a chocolate pepernoot, soooo good!)

Continue dancing, obviously. Add more lifting. In this I need to keep listening to my body. Give my body time to heal if necessary, but keep challenging myself.  And adding some yoga workouts at home, in addition to the one yoga class I do every week. 

I've taken an intuitive approach to this too. I still love dancing and yoga. And the urban fit class makes me feel so good. But I don't foce myself to work out anymore. I do enough to make myself feel good and I enjoy doing it. 

And now I actually eat enough to have the energy to work out, and don't eat too much which draines my energy too :D

Status quo: 

Morning: Work on my business (making orders, answering e-mail and such), put on a load of laundry, empty the dishwasher

Midday: Go to school to watch the kids while the teachers have their break, eat lunch, pick up kids from school

Afternoon: Help kids with their homework, take them to their sports clubs, music lessons, PT and speech therapist, make dinner

Evening: Crash on the couch Monday, Thursday and Friday. Go exercising on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

 

What I want to add this challenge:

- Home workouts where I lift or do yoga. My ideal is to do this every evening. But I will keep listening to my body and rest when I have to.

- Add some more chores somewhere. Maybe some afternoons? I'm not sure yet. 

 

I got the rhythm down well, every minute is packed with things to do. I often work evenings (if I don't work out or are completely drained). But I still don't have the time to do it all. For my business I am reaching out to other moms for help sowing stuff, my husband helps me keeping the house clean and I am trying to let go of everything else. 

It helps that I need less sleep now that I am not constantly over and under eating though :D

 

I must say this is the very first challenge here for me that turned out better than I planned. The methods were different than anticipated and with that I surpassed my goals.
