RedStone
Okay, so I did just download the Sims 4. I mean, it's winter, and I like hunkering down and losing myself to mind numbing video games, okay?? Only problem is that yes, my life needs tend to < to the life needs of my characters, be it Minecraft, Stardew Valley, or this very triumphant return to The Sims! During the last challenge I worked on dailies - simple tasks to be completed everyday with the idea that the collective time over a month would amount to something substantial. Unsurprisingly, due to the length of the list it was a bit much and I felt swamped by the tasks most days. But certain things were super effective (like studying) and so I'm going to bring them back. What worked last time: Morning handstands - woke me up and got me doing steady free standing handstands. Studying - 10 minutes a day resulted in more studying and gave me increased satisfaction and confidence. Journalling - nothing is better for my head. NOTHING I TELLS YOU! Playing a song everyday - got me good at playing a song everyday, increased fun and satisfaction. Additional things to consider Using a timer for many of my goals last challenge was vey helpful. I will continue this, ESPECIALLY with evening Sims. (The other night I started playing at 7 and looked up and it was already past 12! And I was stiff from sitting in the same position the whole time!) I finished my program with CC (IE coach for those just joining us), and have been incident free since September. Journalling is a big part of that, and I will be staying plugged into the IE community through FB groups and the IE thread here. In addition to journalling, I will set an intention for the day as part of my morning routine. Now to make this biz functional. DAILIES Morning handstands/set intention Study 10 minutes - use alarm Play a song Journal 300 words and/or self coaching model SIM STANDARDS -no Sims during daytime work breaks -no more than 1 hour at a time use alarms and must GET UP between sessions - should I do something specific during this time? Thoughts? ACCOUNTABILITY AND CONNECTION -Comment on 3 threads per week -Comment on IE thread 3 times per week -Update my thread 2 times per week HOLIDAY STUFF -make client gifts -make advent for Mr Red (HELLLLLLLP - deets in spoiler!) Spoiler So. Mr Red and I are interfaith Jewish/Christian. Sometimes the holidays overlap, sometimes they don't. We kind of make up new traditions every year depending on what the calendar looks like. this year we decided to do a 15 day advent which will include main gifts as well as stocking/sack type stuffers. I'm a little stumped, especially on the small stuff. Any ideas for a 40 something introvert beer and football enthusiast? His nerdom is mostly centered around Weird Al, Spike, and being contrarian in general. Thanks I love you! So that's the bulk of it. I don't want to over do considering it's the holidays and a very busy time at work. (I don't include workouts in my challenges because it seems unnecessary and takes me a lot of time to record. These days I'm lifting 2-3 times per week, and get in some long hikes and short runs here and. I like kettlebells and focusing on turkish getups atm, been working with 30# for about a week now! I'm also wanting to get my bujo going again - mostly because I want to keep track of my biz, but the idea of drawing up trackers feels a bit too much atm. So that's it for now. Okay bai. 8 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment

I'm making some assumptions about Mr. Red's sense of humor - based largely on my recent podcast binging - but he might enjoy John Grisham's Playing for Pizza. It's not at all Grisham-like, and I thoroughly enjoyed it even as a not-especially-avid football fan. But I have been told by much more committed football-watchy types that it is even better if you know more about the game. I put my BuJo on hiatus for NaNovember, and I miss it. I'm not a big tracker drawer generally, and the ones I have drawn (student loan payoff - very important!) (Or maybe, more likely, I finally acknowledged something I've had.) It's very strange because I haven't felt any symptoms other than elevated heart rate and shortness of breath during what I would consider not-normally-intensive-work like going up stairs or moving plates around. This makes me think I've have some chest congestion for awhile now, but I'm also on the struggle bus for energy and recover, again. So I've been trying to prioritize sleep (against insomnia's wishes) and generally trying to take it somewhat easy. I'm a little jarred because several people that I work with were diagnosed with pneumonia, but other than fatigue and that shortness of breath I really do feel fine! No coughing, boogers, etc. SO I dunno. I'm taking some decongestant. Good news is that Mr Red and I kind of realized how stressful the advent idea was making us and agreed to scale it down some, so that's one less thing to freak about! I'm also trying to be better about scheduling breaks throughout my day so I'm not completetly burnt out. Studying continues, and remains the top champ of my dailies. Journalling has been hapenning but in general everything took a short dip with my energy/recovery the last few days. Doing a call with one of my ACE coaching mentors today and excited to run some ideas by him! It's almost time to test out (I hate tests) but heyo.
