I saw this photo of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi well over a month ago and thought of an old friend I hadn't talked to in ages. Thought about writing him then and there, but never got around to it, until yesterday.

Why do I always have to wait until the last second? I knew what I was going to do the second I posted this challenge, but still I waited until Sunday night until I actually did it...

I invested 2000 SEK (~200 USD) on the stock market for retirement money.

 

 

 

I use an online service that will invest the money for me in as many different stocks as possible to not risk losing all the money if one company does really bad. This also means that I won't make any huge wins if one company does really well. But for money I'm not going to touch for like 30 years slow and steady wins the race!

For once I'm not going to procrastinate on the TODO of the week! Saw a post on the NF facebook group where someone linked a Sabaton youtube video. I had missed that they released a new album...

 

This was the post I saw

Their latest album is called "The Great War", and this was the first single they released from that album

It's my wife's birthday today. I wrote her a handwritten letter detailing everything I had planned for her today. Put it in an envelope and gave it to her in bed this morning, while singing "happy birthday" in Swedish  She appreciated the letter, but of course like the actual activities even more  So while I didn't give anyone the pleasant surprise of receiving a hand written letter in the mail, this will have to be good enough for this challenge!

Time to do some catching up! 

 

So last week the challenge was to go to the hairdresser. Now, I didn't get there last week. In fact, I just yesterday got around to it. And the hairdresser in this case was my wife

As you can see I didn't have a whole lot of hair to work with. If I had done this last week it would have been even less  

 

Here's the after photo

 

 

Not a whole lot of difference, but just to show you I did in fact cut off any hair at all, here's some of it that I had to clean up from the floor

 

 

I went for a 7 mm cut at the top (.3 in) and then progressively shorter down toward the sides.

I bought a bar of chocolate and a scratch-and-win lottery ticket the day before yesterday. Yesterday I put it in an envelope, and today I dropped that envelope in our neighbor's mailbox. They're not our closest neighbors, but they are our best neighbors. Helping us look after our kids when they run around  

 

 

The text just says "Thanks for being such great neighbors". There's no card included, and no sender's adress. They have no idea who it's from  And I'm not going to tell them!

I really need to start posting the challenge of the week earlier in the week. It's Friday night now, and I'm just about to go to bed. Saturday + Sunday just isn't enough time to learn something like Morse!
