Seeing lots of green!

Yes, with some red sparkles. But I like it colourful :D:D:D

I need summer! Or even spring.

This weather is depressing. Just rain and fog. Would there be snow that would be nice. But nope. Cold, wet, blergh.

I just want to stay inside and in bed and read.

And I think I will talk to my boss and HR next week regarding my self-employment and that I don't want to work full time again from June on. I am a bit worried, but just slightly.

It will all work out.  :)
Just read a book where the author for one year lived like it was her last year. I had to cry a bit and it was motivating to start all the stuff you never did because "what will people think? waht if it doesn't work? What if.....?!"

Which one was it? Please don't say it's only available in German! Sounds like a book I really want to read

It is. :( It's a german author and the book is from May I think.

But I can also recommend this one it's sort of the same topic.

Yeah, same. It's the rainy season in southern California and it's been all grey and cold for the last couple of days. Where's my sunlight?!

Not sure you and I have the same definition of "cold". From what I can tell San Diego is going to have temperatures around 60 F today. That's like almost shorts weather! :D We have 28F here right now ;)

It's 56F/13C here today. It would be slightly chilly in the wind if not for the humidity, which is at 85%. I'm wearing a thin long-sleeved shirt, and I'm comfortable. Outside, I had on a jacket, but it got too warm! So no, it's not cold today. The dampness just makes it feel clammy and unpleasant, and the fogginess is depressing.

A few nights ago, it was 40F/4C, though... that's cold! ;)

It's about 34-40F here the last weeks and it. rains. all. day. Hate that. And the car is frozen in the morning and blergh.

So, this week is PMS and "mimimi everything is bad I need sweets and tea and want to sleep all day"-week. Blergh².

For that I didn't do much today and yesterday.

The Kitchari is a bit solid and tastes like almost nothing.

Sorry about the kitchari :(  Can you fix it by adding more spices? More veggies? And just add more water. I always added at least 3 tbsp to my bowl when reheating

Here are the ingredients I used, for reference

200-250 g (2.5 dl) yellow mung dal
200-250 g (2.5 dl) basmati rice
2 tbsp coconut oil (odor less)
1/4 tsp cardamom
3 cloves
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp fennel seeds
1.5 cm fresh ginger, minced
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp fenugreek
1 tsp turmeric
2 tsp black mustard seeds
2 bay leaves
2 (250 g) yellow onion
1.5 - 2 l water
400 g (root) veggies, chopped
100 g kale or Swiss chard or collard greens

That's a lot of stuff in your Kitchari :D

But sounds better than my minimalistic recipe.

Will add some more spices (and others) with every meal.

For breakfast it's ok to have it "plain" like that :)
Thanks for the recipe!

Now it's better, sauteed some onions with cumin, garlic salt and smoked paprika. And also some like meat (soya chunks "like chicken") with chili oil and mexico salt.

Now it's really good :D

But also not Kitchari anymore :P

Not YOUR Kitchari ;)
There are hundreds of versions of it. So I see no problem with that.

The Ghee smells a bit.... weird but I didn't taste anything bad. But it was just 3 tsp on 250g mung beans and 200g rice :D

Mexico salt is salt with paprika, pepper, onions, chillies, garlic, tomatoes, rapeseed oil, curcuma, cumin, ginger, coriander, bay leaves.

We were bouldering yesterday and bf injured himself (again), the same as last time. So he was at the doctor today and it is a torn muscle fiber with haemorrhages.

That means no sport for 4-6 weeks. Rather 6. The last two weeks I am ok with this since I then got my tattoo and can't do sports for 2 weeks.
The rest is meh, I have to go bouldering alone then.

Found a really interesting documentation (it's on the german TV this week, I watch it in the media library), here you can find a report about it: https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-30709297

And the test http://www.bbc.co.uk/guides/z2csfg8

I am a craver (54%) and a feaster (37%) and after I read the description: Yes, that's it!

Aw, sorry to hear about the GI problems. I know that pain. :/

But only one "red" on an otherwise "green" day and week... I think you're doing great! :)
