LittleRedDiavels - Battle log

Well I'm back at it.  Things have gone sideways and crossways for the last few years.  I'm totally out of shape at the moment, so back to square one.  And I'm not feeling overly creative with the title of this topic..... so... yeah..... Battle log it is :) 

High Level Goals

  1. Loose ~100lbs - ish
  2. Become physically fit and healthy
  3. Learn to play acoustic guitar
  4. Continue to learn ASL

 

Break-it Down

  • Loose weight
    • Week 1
      • eat clean wfpb breakfast
      • drink 40+ oz of water per day
    • Week 2
      • eat clean wfpb breakfast & lunch
      • drink 40+ oz of water per day
    • Week 3
      • eat clean wfpb breakfast, lunch & supper
      • drink 50+ oz of water per day
    • Week 4++
      • eat clean wfpb for all meals and snacks
      • drink 50+ oz of water per day
  • Become physically fit and healthy
    • Wear my darn fitbit
      • Aim to hit 10,000 steps per day
      • Get 7.5-8 hours sleep per night
    • Get off my butt in the evenings
      • Tuesdays are the only allowable day off
        • current semester of ASL is on tuesday evenings
      • Go for a walk every day when I get home from work
        • only exception is freezing rain or snow storm
      • Alternate NF bodyweight workout and Groove videos
      • Once the winter has cleared get back to 5k training
        • have mud hero obstacle course fun run June 2 
  • Learn to play acoustic guitar
    • Dust off the carry case and fill the humidifier
    • Find my learning books
    • Re-initialize the RockStar "game" on my PC
    • Practice 3 times per week for at least 30 minutes
  • Continue to learn ASL
    • Attend weekly night classes at the college
      • Winter semester is Tuesday nights 6-9
      • Sign up for Spring semester once it's available
    • Practice daily for at least 20-30 minutes
      • Can be spread out over the day in little bits
    • Do homework each week

Week 1

I'm not a big fan of logging everything, but since my previous attempts have failed here we go logging EVERYTHING.

  • Day 1 (Tuesday Feb 12)
    • BMI 39 (227 lbs)
    • Food
      • Breakfast
        • savory oatmeal with extra spinach
        • coffee with almond milk
      • Morning Snack
        • 3 leftover vegan "fish" sticks
        • coffee with almond milk
      • Lunch
        • cauliflower & garlic veggie soup
      • Afternoon Snack
        • tofurky, tomato, lettuce and hummus sandwich
      • Supper
        • Veggie sticks and homemade dill hummus
    • Fitbit Steps
      • End of Day count --> 6102
        • snowstorm made walking a challenge
      • Sleep --> 8 hours 15 minutes
        • I don't think my fitbit tracked it correctly.  I woke up a lot, and feel exhausted.
    • Water intake
      • Oz ~25oz
    • ASL
      • head to the college early to do homework
      • attend class 6-9 pm
      • home practice
  • Notes for the day
    • Snow storm
    • College was closed so class was cancelled
    • Given the snow hubby and I watched a movie, enjoyed hummus and veggies and chatted all evening :)

Week 1

Exhausted today.  I don't think my flex 2 fitbit counted my sleep properly last night.  Charging up my other on and will try it tonight.

I didn't write it all down.  But I've been enjoying the same breakfast now for over a week.  Lunches are veggies.  My water intake is not as high as I would like it to be.  But given the size of my bladder having to pee every 20 minutes gets frustrating when you spend an hour in the car commuting to and from work.  

 

My ASL class was canceled last week due to weather.  I watched some videos and taught my Mom a new sign while they were visiting this past weekend.  

 

My guitar still sits forlornly in the corner waiting for me to dust off the case and pull it out.

My daily steps are not as consistent as I'd prefer.  But this week I'm starting back into the zombies 5k learn to run app.
