So I did stuff last week but I don't remember when or what so tracking was a fail. Whoops. Let's try again this week.

 

Monday: French, Workout (Yoga)

Tuesday: French, Workout (core), Stretch

Update: 

 

I'm in the first week of a Run the Edge 30 day streak challenge. It's either a mile a day or 20 minutes of another type of workout. Essentially, I'm using it as a hard goal to get myself back in the habit of making a workout a priority and it is working really well. I'm feeling a ton more energetic and looking forward to making time to workout now. Here's to making it the full 30 days!

 

Also - I found a tumor on my kitten and I'm super worried about what it means. Google was not my friend but I'm dropping him off at the vets tomorrow so send good vibes and cross your fingers for me please! (And also thank you to @RogueLibrarian for talking me down yesterday. <3)

The vet said it is just a reaction to a steroid injection he got (he's having trouble growing hair back from a surgery he had before I got him). We have to keep an eye on it for a couple of weeks and if it isn't going down / away we'll talk about other options. 

 

In fitness news: I've made it through a 7 day workout streak! I've missed this and really enjoy making physical activity a priority again. I kept it pretty easy this week and am going to slowly up the intensity over the month. I'm already feeling stronger (mentally and physically) - can't wait to keep it up.

 

ALSO - for those of you who may remember - I FINALLY cleaned my room from moving in two years ago. It actually looks like I live there now. :D

So I actually have updates! Thank goodness for spring because I legit feel like I'm coming out of hibernation. (Except for the fact that it snowed enough last night to actually cover everything and stayed so I had to dig my car's snow-scraper out again to brush it off this morning. :(

 

I went on my first run in.... forever 3 days ago and I am still feeling the DOMS. But I'm still good on my workout streak! (I do have to admit that I just stretched yesterday because I was feeling really cruddy BUT I wouldn't have unless the streak were going so I counted it anyway. And it felt really good and was necessary and therefore is still within the spirit of the streak if not the letter (ahem... law school infiltrates everything but what can you do?))

 

I've been doing tons of core work and yoga and I can't believe how much I missed physical activity. I'm learning what I can and can't do in terms of aggravating my back (I can do a lot more than I imagined! The only thing that really impacts it is trying to do this:

for some reason my back does not like that at all. Almost everything else is fair game though.)

 

I just caught up on all of your challenges too and now I'm sitting here counting the minutes down until I can get out of work and go move because sitting at a really bad state funded desk is making me sore.

 

I need to get a bit better at meeting my French goal, but I'm being way more consistent than I ever have been before (including when I was actually taking classes on it) so I'm certainly not complaining.
