The Sherrif made a point that a lot of the human trafficking involves local victims. Yesterday was a good day. We finally saw Endgame, and I can be on the internet without fear of spoilers again. I won't comment on it for even something innocuous I say could spoil something. I have become very inconsistent with posting, that's something I can focus on improving. Monday: Went to work at Far hospital, came home and ate. We went to bed early again, but didn't sleep as well (congestion). Tuesday: Worked at downtown hospital and had small group, where we had a lot of fun. Early bed, but poor quality due to congestion, and woke up with a headache, which is being managed by NSAIDS. My rest day was what I needed. No workout, just watched a movie at home. I did cook for dinner. I boiled some baby yukon gold potatoes and mashed them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, butter, and milk. Very simple and very good. I cooked some beef that had been cut into strips (I cut them further to make bite sized pieces) with some red wine vinegar and avocado oil. I drained the liquid off, then seasoned it with some italian seasoning that had salt already in it. I then added some broccoli florets that I had steamed in their bag, and added some salt and pepper. I then added some Greek yogurt to it all for some creamyness. A big way to prevent trafficking of that sort is to educate people about how the traffickers work and manipulate people. A heavy topic indeed, but better to heal them from the warning about trafficking than to have to heal them from the effects of trafficking. Last night our church's first Wednesday service was awesome. God is really working on me and brining me past perfectionism. Today is a good day. I did laundry and Yoga, NF Water B. I also went grocery shopping. It felt really good to do Yoga. Part of what changed in me last night was the realization that simply starting a task is more important right now than finishing it. One of the ways my perfectionism has manifested itself in the past was to overanalyze something such that starting didn't feel worth it. I felt a freedom last night, an ability to simply start something rather than worry about how long it was going to take, or all the ways I could mess up. I've even noticed writing is a little easier, typing a little faster, even my vocabulary use has improved. This is not one sudden change, it's one of many steps in a long process, and by no means the last. Even so, it brings me hope, and peace. Today I felt more centered and peaceful than I have in a long time. Now I'm focused on how to nurture and deepen that peace and calm. I'm going to cook tonight. I'm gonna make some power slaw with honey, mustard, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, and a bag of the slaw. I'm going to roast some butternut squash in the oven (haven't decided on temp and time yet, gonna look that up), with some avocado oil, white wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and thyme. Then I'm going to take a pork tenderloin and rub it in honey and chili powder, then wrap it in bacon and roast it with the squash. That's why I don't normally talk about my recipes in advance of making them, sometimes they don't happen when I expect. We ended up looking at several houses last night. Most of them aren't right for us, but we did find one solid maybe. We're still early in the process and aren't desperate enough to jump on a maybe. Tonight will probably be Chick Fil A as we have a church thing and Sra. Sounds as good as the peace I got when I realised I don't have to reach certain levels or do so much with exercise at the moment. I just have to do something, when I can, if I can. Which you doubly confirmed when you said that I must realise I will probably not be able to get into a set or regular routine due to all the other stuff I have to concentrate on. Peace and freedom.
