I successfully made poached eggs today! I've tried before, and on my first try it ended up being more like watery egg drop soup. My second try I ended up with a small ball of white and yellow with lots of little wispy bits of white all over the pot. Today, they turned out great! I could have cooked them a little longer, but they held together.

 

This is not exactly how I did it, but I dig how Gordon Ramsay makes it sound so extreme:
