REPORT: DAY TWENTY-ONE

Morning cardio (elliptical) - 886 calories in 73 min.

That's the kind of calorie burn I've been missing the last month.  That's roughly the amount of calories I would have burned over the same time-frame when jogging a comfortable average 5 mph on the treadmill.  I'm pleased. :)

Training [shoulders]

DIET

calories = 1575 + cream cheese iced brownies

fats = 23 g +

carbs = 76 g +

proteins = 257 g +

As a fun little family party, the Missus had us go to the grocery and pick out some bakery desserts to enjoy in the grocer's cafe.  There was no nutritional info, so I have no idea how many calories or grams of each macro were in the brownies. Leading up to our little dessert party, I focused on making sure I got my protein in for the day, and pretty much stayed away from any other foods except for a little bit of pre-workout oatmeal.  My guess is the brownies added another 1000-1200 calories or so to my day's total.  With all the calories I burned between the elliptical and my shoulder workout, I was probably still in a small net deficit anyway.

REPORT: DAY TWENTY-FOUR

Recovery & Refeed day

Morning cardio (elliptical) -- 1044 calories in 100 minutes.

I wanted to see if my new elliptical display would keep going after the time reached 99'59".   Or if it would stop like my old treadmill used to.  So of course I did cardio on the elliptical this morning for 1 hour & 40 min.  I mean, who wouldn't?

giphy.gif

And the results are:  No, it doesn't roll over at 100 minutes.  It ends the workout.  So 100 minutes acts as a kind of 'soft' cap.  The console beeps, tells me the workout is ended, and displays the results of my efforts.  If I want to keep going after that, I have to press start and begin another workout.

I have no idea what my calories or macros came out to.  I woke up in the morning with no intention of knowing. :P.   We were celebrating our wedding anniversary.  There was food.  I ate it.  It was good.  The freshly made peach ice-cream we had at the peach orchard was particularly scrumptious.  Probably the best pound of ice-cream I've ever eaten.  :glee:  :barbershop_quartet_

@Curl Brogo posted this Harry Potter Sorting quiz over on @Snarkyfishguts's challenge thread.  My results were:

Ravenclaw -- 78.4%
Hufflepuff -- 13.1%
Slytherin -- 8.2%
Gryffindor -- 0.4%

Hmm.

I took the quiz and came out 49.3% Hufflepuff, 25.5% Gryffindor, 25.2% Ravenclaw and 0.0% Slytherin.  I was also assigned Hufflepuff on Pottermore

Ravenclaw is probably right for me.  Pottermore sorted me into Slytherin though.

Commentary:  This was a Re-feed.  The numbers are off, I'm sure, since we ate out at a restaurant.  But I took my best educated guesses.  I've been doing a refeed on the 8th day of my 8-day workout rotation.  This was the 7th day of this rotation.  The Missus wanted to go out to eat for lunch, so I took my refeed one day early to accommodate that.  I've been curious anyway about how my body would react to having the refeed on an exercise day (after the exercise), instead of doing it on the rest/recovery day.

Thanks!  I'm always happy when someone finds something I do inspirational. ^_^

I felt like I should have been doing 3 reps per minute though.
