End of Challenge

Report

A reminder of where I was five weeks ago:

My Main Quest for this challenge is to...

  • Get my bodyweight below 185 lbs (84 kg)

Did I complete my Main Quest?

No.  As of this morning, I ended this NF Challenge weighing 187.8 lbs (85.2 kg).   Roughly 3 pounds short of what I was aiming for.

I did, however, still lose 9.4 pounds in five weeks.  Which isn't too shabby.  The real tale, however, is over on the measuring tape --- where I dropped 1.8 inches (4.6 cm) off my waist over these past five weeks.  That's an average of 0.36" dropped per week.  Which is pretty darn good!

I started this challenge with the intention of cutting hard and fast, getting under 185, then returning to maintenance eating for a few weeks to let my body stabilize before cutting hard and fast again.  Much to my surprise, I've found that I've instead settled into what has turned out to be, so far, a sustainable fat-loss diet and exercise routine for me.

Thank you to everyone who followed along this challenge.  I appreciated the support.  And I hope reading my posts helped you in some way, because that's why I take the time to make them.  :).   I've posted the thread for my next challenge, and I invite you all to join me over on it as well.  Here's the quick link to it:
