One of Mr Red's heroes, and at 92 we figure we better take the opportunity when it comes! Who knows how long he'll want to keep doing it. Also, I have no idea what the show actually is! A combo of storytelling and standup maybe? RedStone
OH MAN I'm so sick. Woke up at 4a on Monday morning with that sure fire tingle in the back of my throat and by midday it was full blown. A friend I visited last week had the same thing happen so I guess it's going around. On top of non stop training all weekend and maybe not the best sleep, I guess it's no surprise. Come Monday night I was a delirious mess. I did pretty well tho - I sucked it up and basically cancelled *tomorrow yesterday and slept and slept and slept. Last time I had this cold I basically tried to power through all week and it didn't ease up until I had a day to rest. I still have a cold, but feel way more functional than at the onset... and yes, I still went to see Mel last night and it was great. It was unscripted stories from his life in a loose chronological meandering way. His son's BF was on stage with him and kind of kept him from going too far off track, but he was funny and sharp and it was heartfelt and sweet. They ran out of mugs, which is too bad, but: Edit *ok maybe I'm still a wee bit out of it! 4 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment

And yeah, that was a solid set of merch they put together. 30 years of backstory goes a long way! _____ So yeah. Sick week. I've been taking it as easy as I can - some KF for a class on Wednesday but for the most part work has been the bulk of my movement stuff. OH wait - and gardening. Actually now that I think about it I did a bunch of gardening. That was probably a bit taxing. Even though I'm not a spoonie, most nights this week I feel like I've run out of spoons but early evening. I thought I was feeling way better this morning but ran out of steam about 3 tasks too early. I think a big part of that is due to lack of sleep - I keep waking up at 4ish, which is probably a combination of the cold and the that I went off my anxiety meds about 3 weeks ago. For about half a year I've been taking a micro dose originally Rx'd to help keep the late night worry-voices quiet and to help me sleep, such a small dose that doctor friends have laughed at how little I use... (even tho there have been studies on how small amounts can be just right for shorties like me.) Anyhoo, I was having trouble getting my doctor and figure I'd try going off it to see if it was really making a difference or not, questioning the small dose and what not. TLDR there was a miscommunication between me and my dr office and they did in fact refill it on time, (I just didn't know), and more importantly, I think yes, it made a big difference. I got my Rx refilled and hopefully it will compound in the next few weeks and I'll be back on track for sleep, general anxiety and worry voices. House is coming along, gas line went in (tho we discovered we need an electrical line also now), and the painting is in progress - it already looks amazing in there, like someone switched the lights on all of a sudden. And of course the gardening which is a highlight for me - I don't know if anything has made me feel more like an adult than using mulch for the first time. I'll take some picts over the weekend 8 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment
