Tuesday:

 

Ran for commute to the career fair. I didn't know I could go that fast while carrying a backpack... 

 

Agreed the backpack only had an umbrella, a couple of career coaching brochures, pull-up resistance band and a hand towel.

I tried to TGU with 9.8kg, right side managed one, left side was epic fail. Try again next week I suppose.

Completed ringfit World 2 in one shot, though I took some rest when I was doing the overhead press against the boss. 

 

I'm out of soapy water buckets today...

Wednesday:

 

7 pull ups - first unassisted

Not surprised, I was definitely achish from all the overhead presses done during ringfit yesterday.

 

Deadlifts:

Bar + 15 kg on each side x 8 reps

Bar + 17.5 kg on each side x 8 reps

Bar + 20 kg on each side x 8 reps

Bar + 22.5 kg on each side x 6 reps 

 

Overhead press:

 

25 kg x 7, first set I had to take a break at 6th rep, then 2nd set it was 5th rep, and 3rd set was 4th rep

 

Chest press:

30 kg x 5, 2nd and third set I had to take a break on 4th rep

 

Front Squat:

 

30 kg x 6, 3 sets

 

Back squats(I got a squat rack this time):

 

Bar +5 kg per side x8

Bar +7.5 kg per side x8

Bar +10 kg per side x8

 

Might be time to start shifting weights to 2.5kg per side soon...

 

Farmers walk: 1 min 40s

 

Spent the rest of the day doing job search thingie stuff so not as much moving around as I would have liked, but things gotta be done means they gotta be done.

Ouch the last rep... Nearly couldn't make it. But 10kg per side is more Manageable now that I use proper breathing patterns.

Ran around 18km on hilly terrain today. Would have liked to run more but my left knee doesn't like me =(

 

It seems elevation and (possibly) going at a faster pace triggers my left knee (outer side) to ache. And this time I did stretch after 6.5km so it wasn't a no stretch run. I think I will need to do more research on this. 

 

Then I went for the 7 station fitness assessment being held at sports stadium. 

 

Results(each exercise is done for 1 min) :

37 push ups

47 squats with 5 kg barbells in each hand - there was an option to do with 12.5 kg barbells, but I decided against it as I didn't want more knee issues. 

33 at 4 kg medicine ball slam,

3.5 shuttle run through tires and a short distance to cones. 

13 assisted pull up

20 step lunges with 4 kg ball

22 box jumps on 20 inch box

Ok I got the job. But I've been running around like a krazy madwoman with all the admin being done earlier.

Ran about 23.6km. Would have run more, unfortunately I had to go to a specific clinic for medical checkup on 2hs notice so I had to plop myself into a train mighty quick.

For chin ups I no longer jump to the bar. I step off the chair, hang in deadhang, then do the chin up.

Back squats:

 

25kg x 8, superset, 3 sets

 

Farmers walk with 20 kg weight: 2min 40s - this gym has super easy to hold weight plates. 

 

No time to front squat.  Morning gym is indeed rather rushed. I ended up running from gym to train station. I think I will aim to gym after work. I booked another morning session on weds, then after I will book for sat(I forked out the dosh for all day entries). 

 

Tuesday:

 

Simple and sinister is a bit meh today.  I farking had to do it in the kitchen because that was the only available space in the house =(

I am experimenting on stepping off the chair after grabbing the bar to do pull ups and I sort of got my chin to the bar but I raised my knees to do so, so not quite proper form yet?
