Hi everybody! I missed you <3

So, I've been away for a bit because I've fallen off the wagon. Big time.

I started dieting again: counting kcal, fasting, over exercising. Just pushing myself way too hard.

*actual footage of my feelings

On top of that life happened (details on why my life sucked really hard 1,5 weeks ago in the spoiler)

Spoiler

So on Friday I got sick. Tired, sore ears, sore throat. Not that surprising after pushing myself so hard.

I took it easy and on Saturday I woke up feeling a bit better.

Later that morning my husband tells me my SIL had been committed to the hospital because she attempted to commit suicide. I've talked here before about how she was battling depression. But she seemed to have been doing a lot better. After a day of uncertainty the doctors in te IC have managed to put her back together, and physically she's fine now.

On Monday I had to go into town with te boys because J needed new sandals (the sole's of his old ones had become detached after I had to wash them because he had an accident on the toilet and then stepped into it, and walked through the entire house with them before I noticed the smell. Children are gross :p ). So we also went to buy ice cream because it was still hot and the boys had behaved really well. A couldn't finish his ice cream. Which was weird, but I figured he might have a bug like I did. But not long after he started complaining about itchiness in his mouth and started puking. Luckily we had been able to find J new sandels before this *count your blessings*. So I gave him his allergy medication (he has severe peanut allergies, there was probably a trace of peanuts in the ice cream). And within 15 minutes he hang out of the transport bike and puked again. Himself, his brother and the bike were still clean *count your blessings*. So I called the doctor and he got to have another pill for his allergies, with the warning that I needed to keep a close eye on him in case he would swell up. So lots of stress there.

A was really out of it because of the medication and his stomach didn't feel right for a couple of days. But he's okay now

So anyways I started skipping dance lessons. I stopped practicing dance at home. And I spent way too much time playing the sims and not so much doing chores and work.

I had to quit dancing early yesterday because I just couldn't. I couldn't remember the steps, I felt so tired and lethargic. On the bike ride home I realized something needed to change. So now I'm back.

And the title of this challenge? It's because of this youtube video I just watched while my intestines were throwing a tantrum in the bathroom (seriously, my body is not happy)

Spoiler

My goal for this challenge is to get my life back together. To get healthy, regain my sanity and just feel great again.

1. Make todo lists

These have always been a life saver for me. They keep me from becoming overwhelmed.

I want to get back on top of my work and keeping the house in slightly less disarray.

2. DANCE!

Practice my routines twice a week before my home workout. Don't miss practice again, unless I'm actually sick or out of town.

3. Home workouts

They make me feel great and help improve my dancing. I'm going to do them twice a week, AND NO MORE THAN THAT! Duration: 30-40 minutes.

If I'm not feeling good I can scale them down to 10-15 minutes, lower the intensity or just dance for a few minutes.

4. Gentle nutrition

Why did I ever stop eating intuitively? I'm rejoining the NF Intuitive Eating group to learn and to share what I know.

The tracking apps are deleted of my phone, my fitbit is in the back of my nightstand drawer (trust me, it's impossible to find anything there ;) )

Sorry to hear things went so shitty for you. I'm glad you feel better and that J is doing a lot better now too.

Following along (and I am wearing a bikini right now, how weird is that?!)

Thanks <3 I just heard she'll go to a treatment center for people with therapy resistant depression. I really hope they can do something for her there.

I practiced dance and did a short workout Tuesday morning. My insides are still mad at me, so I ate carefully. Not that it helped very much, but I don't know what else to do.

I'm still feeling tired. Maybe I do have a bug or something. I think I'll skip dance class tonight, just so I won't have to ride my bike through the rain and can rest, because I really am tired.

Just one more week until summer break!

Don't underestimate compassion and emotional fatigue.
Are you taking time for you?
Or is there other resistance to your class that is not physical? It's ok not to feel ok sometimes!

Worrying avout others does take its toll, that's very true.

And I really don't like the dance we're doing right now (the other girls don't like it too, so I'm hoping we'll move on soon). That doesn't help either :p

Thanks for helping me realize these things :)

For context, this is the dance we're doing:

Sunday

I love a long weekend. The boys will be home Monday too, so no rushing tomorrow.

I took time to take care of myself this weekend. Played a lot of games with my boys and husband. Took my time making meals for everyone and did only the bare minimum of chores. The house will still be dirty tomorrow, I can tackle that then.

My intestines are still hating me. I was a little more adventures with food today than I was yesterday, and now I'm paying the price :( I will be really careful again tomorrow.
