The 4-week schedule was causing a lot of us to burnout trying to keep up with forum resets. And it doesn't line up with the calendar year, so we have to add extra bye-weeks or change the challenge length periodically. Our plan through the end of next year (2020), it to have 5-week challenges with a bye-week in between, with a 3-week Holiday challenge around December each year. It's the best compromise we could come up with to lessen the stress on the GLs, give everyone a consistent schedule, and, as a bonus, it fits evenly into a 52-week year. Feel free to let us know what you think though. Google Play has suggested apps to me by Leap Fitness Group. They're mostly very highly rated. I'm specifically looking at the home workout app and their women's app (since I am still weak and scrawny lol). Has anyone here used them? Are they worth the massive amounts of ads they're reported to spawn? Are they as good as their ratings? ONCE AGAIN I am coming back here to say that I miss you all a bunch and I hope I can manage to jump in for the next challenge. Things have been tumultuous over the last few months! My job has been hectic! My step-dude has been to and from camp weeks on end requiring lots of driving during the work day! Family health things! My cross-fit coach got a full-time job and shut down his practice and I don't have a 5x a week exercise regimen any more! I am at a crossroads and am trying to decide what to do with my body! I miss the easy decision to just roll out of bed and go to a 5AM class close to home! We moved to a new office with a more open floor plan and I can't figure out how to goof off on the internet during the day without everyone knowing (ok jk this is not really a huge concern)! I accidentally formed a community action group to fight over-development in my small town and I've been so slammed with public meetings and presentations all the time! mostly these are not terrible stressors but I'm having my typical assassiny-style problems with over-commitment and over-ambition and lack of time to do all the things but you have always been the right place for me to work out my focus on body and health so I guess what I'm saying is I'll see you in September! (PS I am a huge fan of not-4-week-challenges. I always have a slight week 3 or 4 slump and a 4 week challenge never gave me a chance to recover in week 5 and finish strong like the 6 week challenges did.
