Instead of 4 small goals, im creating a list of things I can pick and choose from each day, each item giving between 1 and 5 pts for completion. To pass at bare minimum I need to accumulate 100 points (20 points a week). To get an a+ ranking will need to be over 500 points. More details to come... Had 2 helpings myself and several other people were loving it also. Not yet, but basically if you have the nom nom paleo cookbook, it's that recipe, doubled, minus the shallots, sub sherry vinegar with apple cider vinegar and the cilantro with parsley, and add ginger and celery. ohlemontine Posted August 21, 2019 Author Report Share Posted August 21, 2019 okay... so I'm ashamed to admit but... i got totally thrown off tracking due to a huge error i made in my spreadsheet. I did not have the energy to fix it, and so i stopped tracking also. now this doesn't mean i stopped actually doing the things, I have actually been doing pretty well, especially in the life category, and decent in the fitness category... my diet needs work, though this is a never ending battle at this point. Luckily school for my son is back in session, giving me more reason to be awake during the normal day-walkers hours, so i was able to hit the library today and fix up my spreadsheet. I have lost track of many things, but i will track the past things that I do remember at least. Also I apologize for not keeping up with other peoples challenges either, I'll get back on track with that also, though i may forego backtracking on posts too far, just to keep my sanity lol. Life throws everyone curveballs sometimes, it's great to realize that you can roll with it and keep pursuing your goals though. ohlemontine Posted August 29, 2019 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2019 Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Still going decently on this challenge. I realized that maybe trying to update here everyday might not be a realistic thing for me personally, but I have been updating the spreadsheet, so if you wanna keep track of how I'm doing thatd be the best way to do so. I'm loving the freedom of this particular format I've got going, I like that I don't have to feel especially guilty if i don't do a specific workout, or have a meal out that wasn't planned, as long as I'm still doing one of the things from the list, I'm doing alright. Building all the little habits and not stressing over not meeting a very specific goal is freeing and makes it more likely for me to continue doing what I need to do. That is what I've been missing in previous challenges, since my personality is perfectionist-to-the-point-of-not-doing-something-at-all-if-i-cant-do-it-perfectly. I would start out real strong, then miss a workout, or eat something I wasnt supposed to, and the whole plan would go out the window. FINALLY got back on MFP and started tracking my meals, and using my plant jammer account (I pay for the premium so I was getting upset with myself for not using it) Made a Mushroom and Pea Risotto last night that I thought was absolutely amazing. best of all, completely meatless, and yet still filling to the max.
