Squats: 4 x 4 x 240# Bench (paused): 5 x 4 x 135# DB rows: 4 x 10 x 45# Dips: 4 x 8 Reverse hyper: 4 x 10 x 95# 3 sets of suitcase carries with ??? lbs back and forth in the parking lot to help kill time before dinner 3 x 60s deadbugs We got burritos and then I went home, showered, and tried to pack up/arrange the things I would need to go to gymnastics practice -> my friend's house -> the wedding. Day 5.6 Low key gymnastics practice because I was running a little late and knew I would have to leave early to go get ready for the wedding. I stretched, tumbled, and did uprises and toe shoots on uneven bars. I also did pistol squats on the uneven bars (SO WOBBLY!) because a former olympian did it and I was like HMMM. A few of us played around attempting these for a while and filming each other, so that ended my practice before I made it to balance beam, haha. I wore my fave dress to the wedding, haha. Day 5.7 The end afterparty got a little bit Real Housewives of X and included a not insubstantial amount of yelling (and had nothing to do with the bride, who was fast asleep at this point!). In the debriefing afterward, the antagonists, I shall call them, apparently said about me: "I don't know how to put this nicely, but [raptron] went on a FEMINIST RANT at us." So that tells you a lot about the people I was ranting at and possibly keys some insight about the situation in general. BUT, more importantly, my bff whose birthday it is texted me and our other bff at 3 AM saying "let's go to maine tomorrow" so I woke up not long after going to sleep to go home and pack and skip off to Maine, where we dressed in matching gnome shirts and went on a jaunt in the woods and went to the various bays of Maine and got really nice food in Portland, etc. Jog: 3/3 Lift: 14/15 Write: 9/10 writing, 8/10 journaling Job applications: 9/10 Challenge Summary: A I'm going to keep the job application part of the challenge because reporting back to you guys makes me more likely to not give up when I get annoyed by the job descriptions I come across, haha. I understand if you're not tempted because of potential politics/inertia but it's completely up to you for how long you want to stay. Either way I hope you find something that tickles your fancy, I've occasionally looked at what's out there and I get the same feeling that most places seem oh so very boring.
