Hmm I do remember getting better with it when I was doing dancehall weekly lessons more often. I am generally easy to dehydrate, to get dizzy, etc. I thought I had "outgrown" my car sickness since I started to be much more active after high school but a trip on a small bus on mountain roads let me conclude I had not. Dunno. My plan is to one day have such regular drinking/eating/ that suits me so I do not feel it! Quote Level ☆ human [uncategorizable] STR 2 | DEX 3 | CON 3 | STA 3 | WIS 6 | CHA 6 Link to comment
Renate
Aw yeah today is dizziness central. No workout was even needed to get me super dizzy Possible reasons: The umpteenth mildly strong change in weather (air pressure). I've seen worse but it is still warm morning yesterday vs. cool morning today. Moar water needed I did not feel like eating anything besides melon for dinner. Did not eat a WHOLE lot of it. The warmth. Stress? My tummy is unsettled but the q is a chicken and egg dilemma. Ok, I am eating alright for the rest. No major cravings. Worked out yesterday evening (pilates). Check! Did my ankle stability exercises this morning. Will go swimming also in the evening if my stomache lets me. Otherwise whatever I can do at home. Oh and the change in sleep rhytm. Though I get these dizziness episodes even when I do eat normally/do not get them even if I do not have time for dinner once. But of course life is not a labratory so I cannot easily isolate factors. I wonder what is up anyway. I usually love food and when I stress, I eat as well. Dunno, but next time I will eat a little something even when I do not want to see. Felt alright after giving myself a break with legs up the wall and a piece of fruit (it happened after breakfast, relatively suddenly). Then in the afternoon I had a small nap. Hurrah for still being a student. One more year and then I will have to deal with this in other ways at a job I will have to go to everyday and the same empkoyer (if I am not self-employed) and clients that rely on me~ I will manage and thrive I am sure but lets still take life one day a time. Renate
I got my heart rate up biking up and down a hill twice (5 km?) And jumped on the trampoline + played with a ball actively with baby sis. That's a workout, I say. Now that I am trying to go without a phone for longer periods of time, I notice that my hand aches/annoyances are 8-9/10 caused by holding a phone in my hand(s) for frequent and extended periods of time. Did a self-massage this morning. Might keep doing more of these regularly. Renate
Hi there! Thanks for the acknowledgement :p So, I signed up for some discounted squash lessons. That will help me get out some frustration with myself that will undoubtedly start piling up. I mean, I am already behind with my reading schedule, my class/practical bits/lectures are not organised in the best way possible (the more calendar items they published, the harder I facepalmed), and am going to have to do quite a lot to keep my legs and self health. so let's be realistic. But I need to find a way to detach myself (healthily) from my thoughts and breathe deeply. These are all just mathematical problems to solve/hp points to keep up and skills to acquire. Something like that. There's a time for work, a time for play, and a time for rest. I can do this. Gotta put my hard hat on when it's time for work, and leave my work troubles at the worry tree when it is time for rest. And play hard when I can set aside the time. Alright brain, I get it. Enough with the metaphores already! 1 1 Quote Level ☆ human [uncategorizable] STR 2 | DEX 3 | CON 3 | STA 3 | WIS 6 | CHA 6 Link to comment
Renate
Well, I had no veggies yesterday so I cannot complain that my nose was slightly full and my ear is hurting. What am I giving my body for it to keep itself healthy?! Also it does not help my body is having a bit of a stress response after some of my thoughts these past few days. Luckily I remember to keep breathing and maintain that feeling of detachment from the little things that are not making the start of this year smooth. I can calm this down. I could not if I was putting myself down or worrying about the one or another, wasting valuable energy. I've got this. Have quite a to-do list but it will be alright. 2 Quote Level ☆ human [uncategorizable] STR 2 | DEX 3 | CON 3 | STA 3 | WIS 6 | CHA 6 Link to comment
Renate
So, getting in quite some power walking today. Had some public transport adventures, had a small moment of panic but applied those breathing exercises and some affirmations and got back on track. "Shit happens, life happens, and brain errors happen. The question is: what do I do NOW? Now, not one hour or even one minute ago. And it does not matter if it is my own fault I am in this situation. Auto-snoozing that for later reflection. What do I do NOW?" Woke up at 4.20 instead of 4 AM but luckily I had prepared everything needed the evening before. So I had some pretty awesome early morning waking up time before I had to leave. Thank you, yesterday me. I had only 6 hours of sleep, and probably only woke up easily because of my wake-up lamp. Have to really close my eyes at 8-830 pm tonight. Places I feel pressure: *sides of my head, *weirdly, along my cheeks and neck, it gets lighter whem I look up so I guess i tense those muscles up when I look down... (reading etc.) *shoulders & neck *hands/wrists *probably need to do some yoga & fysio for my legs again tonight *am sliiiightly congested and have an almost negligible ear ache. I drank herbal tea with freshly squeezed lemon juice from one lemon & honey this morning for that. Will also have some cough syrup. The yoga helped me a lot for colds too last year during winter time, so basically yoga and tea are the answer to everything :p (kidding, I will also keep on esting well. Did not pack veggies for lunch so have to load up kn those for dinner.) Overall, I think I am not doing bad. Looking forward to this journey. 2 Quote Level ☆ human [uncategorizable] STR 2 | DEX 3 | CON 3 | STA 3 | WIS 6 | CHA 6 Link to comment

Renate
Heeey thanks everyone. First of all, I wish I could be this effective with applying these principles when pressure is not high, and my intrinsic motivation is not caused by a goal I desire THIS MUCH. But getting my intrinsic motivation to be able to be high just for the sake of being the best person I want to be, even when Idk where I want to go, is some next level stuff. Second, I had 7ish hours of sleep Tuesday night because I slept later and woke up later. Had to stay up because of some emergency admin stuff, although the server was down and I had to do that thing in the morning after all. But, last night I was asleep at 9 something pm, so waking up at 4 today I got a little less than 7 hours of sleep after all! Do not think I caught up with veggies enough. Seems I did not buy any, so I had to run on what was present before this week started (not enough for everyone at home). Note to self. Will try to catch up this afternoon. Headaches and pressures a little less, but still present. Of course, more regular stretching&fysio will be needed but I wonder how much I can substitute just having a regular office space/living place and thus not having to sit in the public transport chairs that are never truly good right for anyone's body (imho). There is onyl one way to find out! Trying to keep stress at a minimal level by going with the flow but also anticipating without any overinvestment in my "forecast". And that is going quite well. Cannot think of an example for this vague discription :p And preparing my focus flow is going well as well. That flow state really takes much less energy than my usual constsnt distractions and I am figuring out more and more how to get myself into that state "manually" instead of waiting for its enigmatic appearance every blue moon... 3 Quote Level ☆ human [uncategorizable] STR 2 | DEX 3 | CON 3 | STA 3 | WIS 6 | CHA 6 Link to comment

I want to say right off the bat that I truly got it in my head that eating well is what keeps me going and it is something I need to make time for, just like brushing my teeth, washing my hair and sleeping. I drank water pretty darn well this challenge, and actually counted without forgetting it all the time. My brain finds that important now too, I guess! Woop. Vegetables... I think I very rarely ate the recommended portions, but I kept cutting up SOMETHING, even if it is just a bit of cucumber. And I think that'll make a difference to last year. I.e. not 8-9pm. Let’s see what happens/if I can do this. Nah, did not work out. But I did start my "regular travelling for uni regime" pretty well, goign to bed at 8-9PM and waking up at 4AM something. (sometimes 10-11 PM, when it was really needed because something COULD only be done at 11 PM.) AND really giving myself the chance to sleep in/get the full8 hours when I COULD. Last time I really applied this regime, I stubbornly kept waking up at 4 even when I could sleep more, did not nap because I was stressed, and really stretched myself out. Because that’s the goal you pursue when writing before you are finally a master. Honing your academic skills. The article/assignment is a goal in itself only when you get to publish it and/or get paid for it… Imho. And even then, the goals are ‘honing skills further’, ‘getting income’ and ‘branding yourself’. Whatever phrasing helps me sleep at night, eh? :p If not writing on the relevant topic, look for potential topics for next year’s thesis. (Boil it down to 3 topics, find 5 relevant sources for each topic.) Noooo. Nope. I am completely drained on this type of creative writing. But some group thesis related events are coming up, so I will hopefully get more ideas and people to brainstorm with. But it’s not good for you to do leisurely things while feeling the dread of working, esp when it’s unnecessary. I just wanted to get a head start. So doing useful things and freeing up time for fun things is a step forward. Best is if I just focused on the task at hand that I planned to do…) *Bake smth with almond flower. *Finish the 2 organising tasks I have literally left in a corner a month ago. Yup, first item check. Second item not. Third item, 1 out of 2 check. I cleaned up my winter shoes and stored them. (For autumn/winter I am going to try a capsule wardrobe idea, so all the others can stay clean where I keep them.)
