So I'm going to keep it up!
 

Goal 1 Running!

Looking to keep up my 3x per week running habit. Need to explore new routes and hopefully get into some longer runs to see new parts of the city.

 

I mean I look GREAT post run - need to get more running nerdy shirts ... sadly they're hard to find.

Goal 2 Reduce the boozing!

While I enjoy my booze - I'm starting to drink daily and that's never a good thing ... so time to cut back! Going to limit myself to 2 drinks during the week and 2 more on weekends.

Special occasions are exempt from this -- such as the wine dinner we're going to the first weekend of October

 

Goal 3 STRETCH!!!

The wife and I have both been failing at doing something fundamental - stretching. Thinking we can add a bit of yoga each night after we run to help keep our muscles from doing silly things.

 

Goal 4 Vacation Planning!

The wife and I have a vacation to Amsterdam (and Berlin maybe) scheduled in December, which we need to plan what we're going to actually DO while there so that'll be something I want to focus up on during this challenge.

Knocked out a 4 miler while on holiday on Seattle. Beautiful weather out low 60s (17C) with clouds

Good job! Sticking to your goals although you are on holiday means you have your priority set and your focus is right. Good luck keeping it up!!

Day 1 & 2

  1. No running Monday, but got in 3 miles Tuesday - so 1 out of 3, woot!
     
  2. Didn't have any booze last night - expect none tonight as I need to hydrate
     
  3. Plan to work on my stretching tonight - cause sore muscles aren't fun!
     
  4. Talked briefly with the wife about our coming trip, we have a few things scribbled down which we'll get more figured out soon!

well ... this was a bit of an epic fail.

  1. Stopped running because the wife was having strange heart rate spikes - went to the doc and was told everything seems normal, waiting on some test results.
  2. Booze was overall lower just not per the prescribed goal. 
  3. Didn't do daily stretching as we didn't do much running
  4. We did plan the Amsterdam trip - so one success
