Loveable_Bouncer
Overall goal: bring love into everything I do. To open myself up to all of the divine love, to receive all my gifts that I’m meant to share with the world. (soundtrack) The first go-around: Spoiler I had written a draft for myself a couple of days ago. Finally accepted no cool themes or story writing, at least not until I figure out pieces for myself. I realized after working on Whole30 and doing a physical job a bit during the summer, made me see my possible goals. However, by trying some fitness stuff where I felt like I was dying instantly. Along with watching my weight come back up. I need to back up and do smaller steps, SMART steps. Luckily I have to keep up with people for over a challenge now ! (some longer because I've been on and off for years, or read old challenges). Where I am able to see those small steps adding up, and the slight changes happening to allow their goal results to happen. My overall goal of this challenge is to stick with these goals. No adding more (my tendency), some of these are on the tougher side for me but are manageable. Fitness: -5 mins of yoga a day -Go on a weekly hike -(Challenge) try out one yoga class on Monday or Tuesday (8 pm) OR Mindful Movement on Friday (10am) -Get fancy tape measurer for measuring body parts -Post a progress challenge pic -do morning measurements once this challenge Nutrition: -5 Freggies a day -(Challenge)Cook 3 homemade meals during whole challenge -Track Water -Weekly weigh-in Mondays (joining @ElizeElvinFoxRyder for tracking) Spiritual: -Meet with Healer weekly - Go to Oneness Blessing on Wednesday at 5:30 pm -Go to Bakahti Yoga/Chanting Meditation Club on Fridays – 6:00- 7:30 pm -Go to Service on October 13th -Make room for New Hobby -1st Goal: Make my bed daily -2nd: Post about it and updates Life: - YNAB (Figure out a Plan) -Insurance Papers… Round 3 (We’ll win this round! Weekly goals) -Go to Duluth Oct. 5-6 (magical land at the edge of the great Superior Lake here in MN) -Stabilize a 2nd Job School: - Show up to classes on time -Do all assignments on time (bonus if done more than 24 hours earlier) Edit Update Wednesday, Sept. 25th: Having to narrow things down... Just been sunk and haven't done anything. Need a smaller goal thingy for now. Also, something I never noted. I uninstalled FB from my phone, still using the site on my laptop to keep up with events and people I love. But have cut down my 20+ times of scrolling a day to a handful every other day. Update goals: (Sept 25th) Goals here: -Weekly check-in on Spiritual Goals (at minimum) -Meet with Healer weekly - Go to Oneness Blessing on Wednesday at 5:30 pm -Go to Bakahti Yoga/Chanting Meditation Club on Fridays – 6:00- 7:30 pm -Go to Service on October 13th -Update daily what my goals are (use as Bujo- I always enjoy reading other people's to-do list) -Update on Reconnect with life and food again 4 Quote Larger than Average Fairy Druid Level 1 10 STR / 8 DEX / 10 CON / 13 INT / 13 WIS / 17 CHA (DnD Stats) Link to comment

Sloth the Enduring
Nice. I took FB off of my devices recently too. I am considering adding that distance measuring app I used on my previous phone, for walking... Loveable_Bouncer
Personal update... Yoga hasn't happened, realized how few vegetables I eat when not forcing myself too and how little water I drink when more solitary.... Also no yoga... Also been procrastinating for a part of a project that's due tonight. I'm running away from my own memories I realized. The project brings a lot of stuff back up that I have been running into binge-watching everything. First, it was Roseanne, then Walking Dead and then some YouTubers. I accepted this paper is going to suck last night... Which probably isn't helping me get it done. So many hours not matching my goals, and lack of being outside.... Probably not helping. College/Life one day your ahead, next day your not. Three days later I'm in a hole trying to dig out. Ironically I had fewer classes this week, but its finally getting to me.This whole school thing, need to work so I can get done. Upside FB is way under control, just the whole video streaming has taken over. 4 Quote Larger than Average Fairy Druid Level 1 10 STR / 8 DEX / 10 CON / 13 INT / 13 WIS / 17 CHA (DnD Stats) Link to comment

I know how you feel, been there, and sometimes still am in the same position. As long as you can put one foot in front of the other and you can keep going on some things, you are winning parts of life. Daryl of the Pines
I know it's cliche, but the one-foot-in-front-of-the-other thing has power to it. Just commit to 5 minutes of work. Then do another 5 minutes. And then another 5 minutes. Now you've done 15 minutes, and you will want to do another 15. Even if for no other reason than to tidy up the loose ends from the first 15, out of spite. This is something my wife taught me. Spite can be powerful. Use it as an outlet to produce good things. She calls it her spite-let (spite + outlet). 1 Quote Daryl of Barbaria - Ranger / Footpad "Smart-aleck jaybird!" Link to comment
Loveable_Bouncer
This week I have shown up to all my spiritual timed goals. Even reconnected with a friend that introduced me to both blessing and yoga group, she said she is liked the idea of us being accountable buddies for my Friday goal (she will miss monthly for another program). That's a win, which probably also helped me manage this school stuff. All assignments I turned in on time! For the paper, I ended up doing a word goal of a 1,000 within 3 hours (the deadline). If I made it, I could get Pizza (a take and bake pizza that is a tad cheaper than Dominos). With my boyfriend on messenger, I was able to update him for check-in and discuss somethings (sadly couldn't call him). He enforced that I could use him for such goals. I was also able to talk down my stress levels, for a better plan. After this week, realizing to read up/ jump in early is necessary. As I had a bit of a 3 hour 90% humidity in 90 degrees F in a tent mishap, that my boss was nice about but now have a better idea what to ask for or at least try to move through. A busier weekend that will hopefully involve me completing assignments before Monday. Saturday museum job and Sunday going to volunteer for my museum at a big Pow Wow (Wacipi). I have so many regrets of being busy, where I'm stopping from signing up on things. Along with not jumping in my car every time I'm like "oooh I have a free 18 hour gap, I could see my guy". Nope paper first and reading, and then figure out if it's possible. My fighting with the deadlines with procrastination is me fighting with my adulting..... 5 Quote Larger than Average Fairy Druid Level 1 10 STR / 8 DEX / 10 CON / 13 INT / 13 WIS / 17 CHA (DnD Stats) Link to comment

Loveable_Bouncer
Okay, so I'm not staying connected with these goals.... if anything I'm harder on myself. That leads me to avoid the rebellion, which in many ways has me back on Facebook or other not so nice plays of the interwebs. Time to back off the goals, narrow them down. I'm finding life is speeding up a bit. When I get overwhelmed its hard to stay away from those rabbit holes (youtube and show streaming sites). I love this! Yes! Narrow the goals, don't cast such a wide net, determine what the priorities really are (I'm not typing this as instructions/ directives, but as a revisiting of reminders I try to tell myself every day, which it seems you have implemented well). As much as it may hurt to not meet goals, I think there is a much worse feeling out there, that of feeling you are no longer in the driver's seat, that you can no longer keep your hands on the wheel. This is a good way to combat that. 1 Quote Daryl of Barbaria - Ranger / Footpad "Smart-aleck jaybird!" Link to comment

My writing was a touch less excited though Realizing why for me its difficult to stay on Nerd Fitness for longer terms. When you get down to the simple goals it kind of gets boring lol... However getting nowhere is also a bummer. Finding those SMART goals that just make sense (with the key factor of no overwhelming). Spiritual Goal Updates:I showed up! and did it! -Met with my healer on Monday that was a lot of conversation on working to connect with the divine's unconditional love. -I arrived right at time for Blessing on Wednesday (had dragged my feet there), but six had ended up coming in after me... Usually is an intimate group of people at most ten, this last week I think there was over 20 people. I was able to take the time to be there. -Friday I was late due Meditation club due to coming down from a professional meetup in the cities. I was there for the club though and I took the chance to take deep breathes. My primary goal around the chanting and singing we do, I make a point to raise my voice when it is part of the goal. Which to me is a way to show I love myself, that everything I say is wort saying. New GOAL: Meditate daily for a few minutes (my assignment from my healer) . A lot of my past is subconsciously hiding in my head, giving time for it to rise up and remind myself that I'm loveable is needed. Is a strong skill to stay grounded, and usually thinking how thankful I am for my life. This also has been a NEED before starting on homework, or task I REALLY don't want to do... Plus side found it has been helping me manage my neck tension that can get into headaches. A community has been emerging from these goals. I have a person or two showing up to both my group events. My healer has helped connect with two women that may help gather a daydream of mine. All of these things had me realize I have been going to places of people being more than just members, but friends to be made. Which is something I had been looking for a good portion of my NF journey. Food goal: Clean the Kitchen! Clean something daily! (Can literally just be cleaning the spoon I use to eat my food). A barrier for making good food, is having an easy place to make the food. What made over the summer slightly easier is I HAD to clean up after myself. My mom's boyfriend was a no go for leaving a mess behind.I could leave the mess in my room which he would never see in my attic like room, but any communal area was no go. Plus he had a dishwasher (which for some reason just makes it easier....). I almost bought a small dishwasher for our kitchen, to be put on the counter top. However, just before I bought it, we realized with our kitchen sink the faucet wouldn't fit any dishwasher safely without something be damaged.... Due to my mother and I having difficulty keeping up with dishes. We have changed to some disposable dishes. We both see not as a long-term solution, but a way to put less stress on our goals. Even with this help, keeping up with the rest is habit I do not have. So baby steps. Now life: Duluth trip! Is next Saturday! (For non-Minnesotans: A magical land within four-five hours that I rarely go to, that is next to the famous Lake Superior. ). My boyfriend is still on board, which has me psyched, though I don't think he's so happy being in a car with total strangers (he is only for 3/4 of the drive though Some things need to get done! Two Biggies: -Schoolwork -Car -Clothes and Home Schoolwork, somethings have fallen behind and need to get done. Car, needs a good interior cleaning. While a new spare tire and maintenance (the miles for an oil change lined up nicely). But both these things are ANXIETY written all over it. Schoolwork is more of putting time aside to face it. While Car stuff just has me shaking with most parts, until I finally pay for the service. I have the money to do it now, and I'm using a pretty yellow Lexus car that gets respect. Along with hasn't been beaten too much in the last 7 months (bought it last February to find it was highly maintained). Also I have a mechanic knowledge boyfriend and to be stepfather, that will be more than happy to help me out if I get stuck. Clothes and Home is putting the time into it. Biggie is clothes and packing. Can't list them out now, but everything else will make my life easir. So yeah let's start off this week 3! Will try to write out smaller goals on another post. 4 Quote Larger than Average Fairy Druid Level 1 10 STR / 8 DEX / 10 CON / 13 INT / 13 WIS / 17 CHA (DnD Stats) Link to comment
Loveable_Bouncer
Saturday I ended up running up to my bf's for the night. Sunday morning I left earlier than later due to knowing I needed to work on homework. No homework was completed due to me crashing after running around for 3 days straight with little sleep. Today's Goal: show up to classes! Turn in something for two assignments tonight. Bonus: work on cleaning out my car or work on kitchen cleaning 2 Quote Larger than Average Fairy Druid Level 1 10 STR / 8 DEX / 10 CON / 13 INT / 13 WIS / 17 CHA (DnD Stats) Link to comment

Just ask either if they would do services (oil change, filters, brakes, check the lights, etc.) regularly on your car (normally the books says how often) and you should be fine for most of the time. My husband services our cars himself, and we save a lot of money that way. If you know something is coming up, buy the parts, and ask either of them if they would be willing to help. Maybe buy him a nice treat (chocolate, steak, or something small) as a thank you. Hope you get through schoolwork and everything else. 1 Quote Mrs. Van's Latest Challenge Zechariah 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the Lord." Link to comment
