Salinger
Morning all. its 9am. Pissing it down again, cold, rubbish weather. Managed to get up though early, 7am, and make cup of tea. I have sent my disability forms so now its out of my hands. Trying not to panic about it for now. I was looking at paint last night hahahaha for the flat. This is dangerous. Im going to be crest fallen if they turn me down Today is a bit slower than yesterday phew. Mainly get ready for tomorrows install in Nottingham. Maybe i will sort through some bags of crap too... go to the tip?! If i can be bothered to venture out in the rain. My cold is still around but improving a bit. I feel run down but im trying to rest as well. xx 2 Quote Link to comment

NicTheRugger
Sorry to hear that you're still under the weather, Liz! But congrats on pushing through and accomplishing everything on that giant to-do list! I know when I'm sick, I do basically nothing, so I'm extremely impressed with your perseverance. Make sure you take down time though! Drink lots of water, lots of tea, and stay comfy. If you feel way too fatigued at anything, don't be afraid to sit down for half an hour or so and take a rest. Salinger
Hey all. 6.30pm im so exhausted i could sob. Left this morning at 7am to drive to Nottingham, took 3 hours. Installed most of my work, helped another artist install his work, had two meetings, then around 3pm i drove home. Just got in now. Cup of tea. Maybe a little stress cry hahahaaha Its cold and im sad. But the install went really well i guess, the work looks good. Feel im neglecting my physical health and have been for a while. But perhaps when im in a new place i can refocus? Just seems everything is so fucking difficult at the minute. I guess ill be lifting a lot and walking a lot moving all my crap soon... i need to start next week, taking things to the tip. Im meant to be getting my hair cut tomorrow. And i have a viewing in the eve. Not really feeling up to it, sad cos i want the studio flat but waiting to hear about checks still. And then Friday i go to Blackpool (one hour 30 mins away) for another show im installing. Back to Manchester Sunday night. Then i can focus on looking at houses to move and sorting / packing. **SIGH** Sorry for downer x 3 Quote Link to comment
NicTheRugger
Don't apologise! You've got a lot going on right now, the important thing is to know when to focus on what's absolutely top priority right now, and right now that seems to be work and finding a place to live. You've got plenty on your plate right now, don't worry if you can't do ALL THE THINGS because realistically, it's not possible. (that's something I struggle with too!) And let us know how the haircut goes! You're doing great <3 3 Quote Level 4, Amazon Ranger Current Challenge: NicBot-5000 enters Recovery Mode Previous Challenges: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, PRE REBOOT CHALLENGES: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 Various links and sundry: Battle log, Respawn post, Link to comment
TGP
hello Liz, yeah not a good day for me either. I don't feel good and this miserable cold weather has me curled up at my desk hoarding the heat from a small electric heater. and I feel "down". so I'm really sharing the feeling that you have right now. (and it doesn't help that really do HAVE to suit up in nomex fireresistant clothing and go fill a small vessel within the refinery with a test fuel). which means getting out and in the frosty 20* air (-10ish *C) oh well ;( gotta do what I gotta do, right? but we agree that I don't have to be happy about it! right? ANYWAYS. as always good things will happen. hope for it, wait for it! it'll happen! and do let us know about the fitness plans. I'll be delighted about that. exercise make a body feel good! and part of my bad mood today is Because there was no exercise this morning my exercise class Tomarrow is something that I'm looking forward too! 4 Quote https://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/116426-im-awake/ the "NEW" normal is good with me! as Life was Never really Normal anyways.... That is how you will make it all work out, do one thing... and then the next thing... take a breather and then get to whatever is the next thing to do. Just know that you are doing things and getting stuff done... it feels like a lot, because it is a lot... but you've got this. I woke at 6am but made myself stay in bed and slept till 9 instead. Im glad i did as i needed the rest. My cold is still hanging around and my throat is itchy and its very annoying. All my sinuses are irritated. In about 2 hours, ill be going to get my hair cut. Unsure what to get done....? Its fucking awful cos its been so long since it was cut! Be nice i guess, to be pampered a bit? Might chop it all offf hahahaa Trying not to worry about the house stuff. Ill hopefully know about the studio flat, by the end of the weekend. One way or the other.... so next week i can focus on looking elsewhere if its bad news. Trying hard not to be upset about it. I think today im going to relax more, and not do much work. Because the weekend is going to be really busy...and i will be in a different city till Sunday night. just want to stay here. So yeah, today ill eat well, drink water, take meds, hair cut, pack for Bpool, put washing on.....etc etc.... x 4 Quote Link to comment
aramis
If you're unsure about a haircut, ask the hairdresser. They tend to be biased to their fav haircuts, but also they have lots of experience what kind of haircut fit face shape etc. And yes, if the haircut won't match your taste, you can always go Imperator Furiosa and buzz it all off But show yourself here before, so you can get honest review If weekend will be busy, it's alright to take some slower pace now. Especially when you fight the infection. Just take care of yourself and let the other stuff go it's own way (house etc). When you get the info, then will be time to deal with it.
