That's a whole none of us then, right? Move over a bit Rhovaniel, you're hogging this bush.

You mean you two don't have his house bugged?

Okay, i'm not gone, i just had a week of vacation, followed by a bit of a rocky start of the week (extremely tired since the vacation, i'm blaming sub-optimal sleep at the vacation address).

I did ran some:

  • October 26th: 6K run (avg 5:44/K time 00:34:23)
  • October 27th: 6K run (avg 5:33/K time 00:33:22)
  • October 29th: 6K run (avg 5:24/K time 00:32:31)
  • October 31st: 5,5K run (avg 5:38/K time 00:31:04)

Which made my grand total for October: 104K!

The vacation has been full of eating and drinking, and only part of my plan to not eat EVERYTHING worked, i gained some weight, so about status quo in that department. Together with the not so stellar weekend just before that, makes for some room to make up on. But i'm set in the right direction, and i'm working on catching up.

Today i will go home from work early again for some financial talk, and right afterwards i'm gonna run again.

That's it for now.

A big thanx to all my stalkers for camping around my house, feeling me even more wanted!!!

I have been away for longer than i wanted.

I came to the harsh realization i really can't outrun my fork.

Next to that, i have not run once in november. Motivation and the (coldish) weather is keeping me from starting. Also busy times (as usual, so that should not be an excuse).

The one bright light is that i made this realization (about outrunning my fork) last friday. Even though dinner on saturday and sunday wasn't stellar, i have been to 3 parties without drinking / snacking in the last weekend. Which was one of the goals i set myself. What worked in the past was: do not eat/drink that first one. I feel a sobriety time coming on... I don't feel like my usual self, but things have to change, i need some preppin for RRDW! Small steps though, first the fork thing...

I will try to check in soon again.

Yeah, the fork truth hurts me too. Although, like you, I haven't done much running to test it lately.

Running in the cold and the wet is much more fun than the /thought/ of running in the cold and the wet. So i suggest you stop thinking and start doing.

I'll be running in the cold Wednesday morning, would you like to (virtually) join me?

Don't say "I don't have enough time", say instead "that's not a priority right now" and see how that makes you feel.

I got the first one out of the way yesterday. It was a good solid run. 6.5K not too fast, but even at the end i felt like i could have done twice the distance.

Well it wasn't exactly wednesday but still within a week, does that still count? Though (preserving willpower as much as possible), it was a very good day, 10c!

I don't know about you, but the thing that gets me to run in cold weather is the fact that it's my chance to go for a run without being soaked in sweat within 30 seconds :)

I'm not that bad with the sweating i save that up for when i'm done, sometimes i just sit and let it drip down my arms.... I did do the following: removed the audio coach from my Strava. I want to focus on distance, this helps me best in the weight loss department. I have noticed during october that i disliked going for a run when i wanted to perfrom better (faster) than the previous time. So now i don't know how hard i'm going. I just want to go far! Have to build up to a respectable distance in preperation for the 20 mile RatRace. And my mind feels at ease with it.

Oow yeah, also 2 things just popped up on my goals calendar:

- Somewhere around christmas a trail run with my BIL

- June 2020 StrongViking with (at least) 10 of my colleagues

Together with the StrongViking in April which i already booked and the RRDW in May i got a pretty good filled Goal-Calender! Especially the buzz around the StrongViking at work has several of us picking up the workouts again.
