Xena Posted October 22, 2019 Report Share Posted October 22, 2019 Well at least "running out of ideas" still has running in it.... I've repeated challenge goals many many times. Some times I get sick of it. A couple years back I even had a challenge called "Xena is bored of recycling" where I tried really hard to come up with new stuff. So what's going on over the next few months? Maybe thinking about that would help. Will you be doing any races? Is there anything you really want to get done by the end of the year? Strickland5 Posted October 28, 2019 Author Report Share Posted October 28, 2019 Got in a solid 3 miles yesterday before the wild fire smoke showed up Food prep continues to be strong - missed a couple of weekends but we got back on that horse and even made chili for me to take as lunch for most of the week as the weather turns colder (kinda). Work is slowly driving me mad due to the client I'm having to deal with. Strickland5 Posted November 12, 2019 Author Report Share Posted November 12, 2019 Welp day 2 of Orange Theory Fitness (OTF) was a power day - not easy but very much in line with what I used to do at Bootcamp - The first ~30 minutes were spent on the treadmill doing between base pace (5mph for me), push pace (6mph), and all out pace (7mph) - with a handful of walking recovery (3mph) thrown in to let us get a breath and lower heart rates. We did 4 blocks with each pace varying slightly - though definitely going for less of the all out and push towards the later blocks. Definitely felt good to push and sprint. Signed up for Bay to Breakers Continuing with OTF - today was day 5 ... we are copying our old Boot Camp schedule of M-T-W-F with Thursday being a off day and weekends either being a light run or sometimes just lot of walking. The wife started a Cookbook Book Club - which is where we pick a cook book, everyone cooks something from it and brings it to a dinner. This month's was Alton Brown's EveryDayCook and we had The General's Fried Chicken, Smoky the Meat Loaf, Heavenly Orbs of Belgian Goodness (aka Brussel Sprouts), Not Just Another Kale Salad, and Mushroom Wheat Berry Pilaf ...
