Well at least "running out of ideas" still has running in it....

I've repeated challenge goals many many times. Some times I get sick of it. A couple years back I even had a challenge called "Xena is bored of recycling" where I tried really hard to come up with new stuff.

So what's going on over the next few months? Maybe thinking about that would help. Will you be doing any races? Is there anything you really want to get done by the end of the year? A weird little goal that was fun for me in the past was to try out a bunch of different recipes for the "same" thing and figure out which one I liked best (I made 5 different variations on apple cake and came up with a clear winner).

Take care of your health. Stay warm and dry during rainy fall weather. And maybe learn to make retro cocktails, He looks like he would drink some fancy Mad Men stuff.

You need an un-challenge.

This. Let things go, take care of yourself, sleep enough, run a bit and let things clear out by themselves. They do.

Legally bound to hug people in need.

Living life as a Druid is about walking with the beasts. It's about being scared, looking your fears in the eyes and going on anyway. Dread doesn't go away, you just learn to know it. It's still a beast, it still has fangs, but you walk among it.

Got in a solid 3 miles yesterday before the wild fire smoke showed up

Food prep continues to be strong - missed a couple of weekends but we got back on that horse and even made chili for me to take as lunch for most of the week as the weather turns colder (kinda).

Work is slowly driving me mad due to the client I'm having to deal with.

My TTRPG session got canceled yesterday which put me in a crappy mood but couldn't be helped with 2 out of 4 players canceled for their own reasons.

Stay safe out there! Hoping for a shift in weather so they can knock out those fires.

The wife and I joined Orange Theory and had our first work out this morning - won't say it was easy but felt good getting back to group fitness.

Welp day 2 of Orange Theory Fitness (OTF) was a power day - not easy but very much in line with what I used to do at Bootcamp -

The first ~30 minutes were spent on the treadmill doing between base pace (5mph for me), push pace (6mph), and all out pace (7mph) - with a handful of walking recovery (3mph) thrown in to let us get a breath and lower heart rates.  We did 4 blocks with each pace varying slightly - though definitely going for less of the all out and push towards the later blocks. Definitely felt good to push and sprint.

Next was floor work which for OTF is anything non-treadmill related - TRX, weights, rows, bodyweight, etc. I don't recall 4 circuits - mostly because they were kicking my but after yesterday's workout ... we get better by doing so here's hoping I'm doing it right ;)

Still alive - just busy with work and life.

Signed up for Bay to Breakers

Continuing with OTF - today was day 5 ... we are copying our old Boot Camp schedule of M-T-W-F with Thursday being a off day and weekends either being a light run or sometimes just lot of walking.

The wife started a Cookbook Book Club - which is where we pick a cook book, everyone cooks something from it and brings it to a dinner. This month's was Alton Brown's EveryDayCook and we had The General's Fried Chicken, Smoky the Meat Loaf, Heavenly Orbs of Belgian Goodness (aka Brussel Sprouts), Not Just Another Kale Salad, and Mushroom Wheat Berry Pilaf ... DELICIOUS all around!
