Hello, hello, hello! Raptron here! I'm so excited we're all playing together this December. If you don't know me, I'm a gymnast and powerlifter that gets distracted by all of the shiny things like bouldering, acro yoga, pole dancing, even a dang 5k here and there. I've got a good handle on most of the things that are important to me, but still love challenges to socialize with y'all and add in a few things that I'm either slacking on or want to add into an already packed schedule. ūüėÄ

 

1. Balancing fun: play with hand balancing and hand balance transitions 2x per week

2. Bench accessories: lol, get swoleeee! you can't get swole if you keep skipping accessory work 

3. Back handsprings: do them on the balance beam at least 1x per week 

4. Be festive: seek out winter-related activities each week (holiday parties, pop-up markets, cozy drinks and christmas movies, etc.) 

 

The last goal is a softie because I'll definitely already be doing that, but it helps keep this whole thing more festive! Side goal to NOT buy more than uh... 2 new holiday dresses. They're sparkly! Or velvet! And burgundy and forest green are color faves of mineeeee. It is a difficult side goal.¬†ūüėú

It's ZEROOOOO WEEK.

 

Days 0.1-0.2

Monday, I was feeling really rundown, so I took a sick day that I wound up working from home most of the morning and then napping most of the afternoon. That was also nice because it was snowing and wintry mix-ing out and about all day, so I got to just watch from the comfort of indoooors. Yesterday, I went on AN ADVENTURE. It was still snowing in the morning, but I got on a 6 AM train down to NYC, hoofed it out to Queens, and sat for a few hours for a new tattoooo:'

 

I stopped by a bar to say hi to one of my NYC friends for a bit and then took the train home. It wassss a long day, but very satisfying! And I'm very happy with the tat. It's on the outside of my right calf, same side as my big hip/thigh sphinx. :D 

 

Plan for the week:

W - lift

Th - light workout and BALANCING FUN at lunch at the work gym + Bruins game at night

F - lift 

S - Jolly Jaunt charity 5k + stopping by a cookout + team holiday party

S - lift + make a casserole or something and bring it over to my mourning cousins' place

Perennial goals: Sleep 7+ hours a night, retain (and continue to learn) French and Spanish as a family, increase Spanish Proficiency for work and play,  read like a maniac on my own and with my kids, carry heavy stuff

Long term goals: Cut to 13-15% bodyfat, And now that I'm grown I eat five dozen eggs, so I'm roughly the size of a baaaaarge! -> Someday I'll challenge a Disney world Gaston to a push up contest and win

Day 0.3

Fine day at work! Moved relatively quick. One of the organizations I'm in the interviewing process with liked my work samples and sent me an assignment that should be relatively quick to bang out, but I don't think I'll have time to do it until Sunday. 

 

Squats: 3 x 260#, 2 x 265#, 3 x 1 x 275# (a bit slower than I'd like but okay!), 4 x 3 x 245#

Bench: 8 x 3 x 140#, 3 x 2 x 145#

Curls: 4 x 8 x 20#


Then I stopped because it was getting late and I was starving. That many heavy sets of main lifts took me a long time, haha. Especially because I was feeling a bit tired going into the workout. I went home, ate a bunch of leftovers (including the famous STUFFING WAFFLE -- mix leftover stuffing with an egg and waffle it, motherfuckers!), and did some laundry. I was exhausted probably from a lot of factors, so I actually snoozed while my laundry was in the dryer, woke up late to get it out of there, and texted for a while at like 1-1:30 AM before falling back asleep soundly.

 

I'll do my missing accessories today at the work gym because I GOTTA GET SWOLE, Y'ALL. You'll notice I didn't skip the curls, lol.

Feel you on this. I just sorted all my dresses and was like wow I need to rewear some of these instead of constantly buying new ones. And then bought a new dress. XD.
